We really do love our local Lowell Tractor supply but I wanted to share about our chick buying experience today (5/23/25). They had all chicks marked $2 a chick. They had one brooder with pullets of Golden laced Wyandotte and Production reds straight run. I wanted pullets and not really knowing what the chicks of either breed looked like I trusted the employee who was helping us knew what ones to grab. We picked up 6 chicks. While the employee was helping us grab the chicks he almost dropped the box with a chick in it. He then proceeded to use a curse word while trying to grab the chicks in front of my child and others who were there watching. Fast forward to getting these sweet babies home and I google the breed Golden laced Wyandotte as I have never had that breed before. That’s when I find that we were given the wrong chicks. We got straight run production reds. Im not worried about having the wrong breed, nor am I going to bring them back. My son is attached and has named them all. I wanted pullets as I didn’t want to risk getting all roosters. Tractor supply please make sure your employees know what the breeds you have look like so mistakes like this don’t happen. As well as make sure your employees know know the company you are serving. Dropping chicks and swearing in front of children excited to get their new chicks really isn’t good practice.

Billy and Tad were very helpful today. Went in looking for an aggressive weed whip head. They did everything possible to help me. Yes we found the head I needed. Thank you for going the extra mile.
