Best Western Lakewinds is a clean, recently renovated hotel with nice rooms, new carpet, paint, and real tile bathrooms. The pool and hot tub are nice and clean, appearing new or updated. It is a pet-friendly hotel with a special area for pets and requires a deposit. The hotel offers a hot breakfast, though it can be picked over quickly and was noted as limited on one occasion. Amenities include a playground for children and an adults-only swim time in the pool. The staff is typically described as friendly, helpful, and very nice. The location is close to everything Ludington has to offer, with walking distance to Walmart and restaurants and a very short drive to the SS Badger carferry. It is noted for being closer to highway access than downtown. Some noise issues have been reported, including loud clientele and hallway noise due to door gaps. The elevator was once out of service. Overall, it provides a good experience, with many guests stating they would stay there again.
Nice place - heater/AC unit did not work. Continental breakfast was fantastic!

Second we have stayed here. Staff is great, hotel is clean, hot tub and pool in good working order, complimentary breakfast included. We will be back next year.
