Mission Pointe Resort, and especially Charlotte, were absolutely incredible in helping us plan our wedding!! We had a laundry list of items that needed to be checked off: rooms booked together for our guests, an on-site salon to do the bride's hair and make-up the morning of the wedding, scheduling flexibility with the salon, a gathering room for guests to eat and hang out after the wedding, and diet restrictions that needed to be met as part of the custom menu, while on a budget, just to name a few. And not only were each and every one of those items met flawlessly, but their whole staff, the waiters/waitresses, and cleaning crew were next-level friendly and professional. There was not a single complaint from us or any guest while we stayed there ... from a wedding party! Which we're guessing is quite rare. And Charlotte was remarkable, from the very first time we reached out with our requests, to greeting us at the luncheon, to even after the wedding. After we checked out, she still kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. To anyone getting married on this timeless island, we highly recommend Mission Pointe Resort. There is not a single hotel or resort on the island that could have accommodated all of this. Not one. It was absolutely grand.

My fall visit each October to the Great Island oasis.
Renovated lobby and public area as you enter, light and bright.
Rooms are immaculate, well maintained, stocked with ample clean and fresh linens, toiletries, k-cup coffee and condiments, friendly and attentive housekeeping and bell staff members, gracious and helpful front desk always with a smile and greeting, restaurants, bar, bike rentals and a beautiful view of the lake from the dining room/bar.
Dogs are permitted to overnight in the Straits lodge rooms and join you as you sit in front of the fire in the lobby. Enjoy.
Noteworthy details: Friendly and accomodating staff who enjoy what they do.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The food was excellent, the service was excellent and even though they serve thousands of guests during the season - they did not make you feel like a tourist! This resort was the highlight of my vacation!

My third stay…and will be back. The location and walk to the Straits Lodge gives a nice outdoorsy feel, while the Main Lodge is conveniently located nearby. Had a great time!!

We loved every minute of our stay. The food was delicious, and our room was very nice with a beautiful view. All the staff were wonderful. Copeland (sp?) was our favorite. The grounds were lovely and we loved relaxing in "our" swing. The time of year we went combined with MPR made us fall in love with the island. We will be back next year.

Room was on the smaller side but very functional. The resort was beautiful! The view was amazing and it was nice to enjoy the chairs and park like space over looking the water, especially while watching the sunrise. Basically everything you need is at your fingertips without leaving the property to include bike rentals. The location is absolutely perfect! Not too close to downtown, but yet a very reasonable walking distance from downtown. The restaurants were wonderful, good food selections. Can’t wait to visit again hopefully in the near future. This made for a very memorable vacation.

Our first time at Mission Point. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Our was clean, and bed super comfy, best sleep at a hotel I have had. We enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu at Chianti, Simon was our server, he was amazing and entertaining-highly recommend!
It was nice to be able to leave the room and relax in the lobby or on patio. Would stay again

We didn't stay here, but enjoyed the bar just off the quaint and spectacular lobby-yes, it's both! The bar has a panoramic view of the Straits of Mackinaw and Round Island. Friendly service, impeccable grounds, and away from the crowds. We will be back to stay for a few days next season.

Was there for a conference, accommodations were fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Was able to see the Northern Lights while we were there!! It was an experience of a lifetime and the view was incredible. I highly recommend!
Walkability: Sitting in a lawn chair down by the waters edge… beautiful!
Food and drinks: Pink Pony down town great food and drinks

Stayed here on our honeymoon. Everything about the experience was great! Also, they rent bikes cheaper than anywhere else on the island!

Everything was absolutely perfect! What was exceptional was the front desk service from Tamika, Shequira and Amoy! I had a number of special requests throughout our stay and they accommodated me during and after our wedding visit. They always greeted me with a smile each time I passed by the desk and even gave me undeserving but wonderful compliments on my dress! Top notch staff that made our visit awesome!

I found the hotel to be in an excellent location, away from busy streets and crowded areas. While it’s an older establishment that could benefit from some updates, it has its own charm. The room didn’t have built-in AC, but there was an air conditioning unit that worked well. The beds were comfortable, and the room size was perfect for two people. We enjoyed a nice view from the third floor, and the hotel itself was quiet, with polite and friendly customer service. The food was delicious especially the breakfast, YUM! The beautiful island, along with the activities and food, more than made up for the hotel’s dated appearance. I would recommend this hotel as a more affordable option compared to a bed and breakfast.
