Small Point Bed & Breakfast is a cozy and charming Victorian home located about one mile from the ferry drop-off point on Mackinac Island. It offers a quiet, quaint, and family-like atmosphere, making it a great choice for a peaceful getaway. The hosts, Brian and Christina, are friendly, helpful, and welcoming, providing excellent service and warm hospitality. Guests often praise their kindness, with stories of helpfulness and homemade baked goods, especially Christina’s delicious breakfast offerings. The breakfast is a highlight, featuring fresh fruit, cereal, homemade breads, muffins, cakes, and egg casseroles, served on a wide front porch or in the gazebo with plenty of chairs and blankets. Coffee and tea are available all day long, making mornings relaxing and enjoyable. Guests appreciate the simple and clean rooms, with comfortable beds and cozy linens, though some rooms have small bathrooms with a clawfoot tub and no shower, which might be a consideration for some visitors. The location is peaceful and almost isolated, yet within walking distance to dining, shopping, and Mission Point Resort. However, transportation options to and from the ferry involve walking or waiting for a taxi, which can take some time. Renting bikes is recommended for exploring the island more easily. Guests enjoy the scenic surroundings, porch sitting, and the quiet atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a quiet, quaint experience on Mackinac Island. Overall, Small Point Bed & Breakfast offers memorable hospitality, tasty breakfasts, and a cozy retreat, with plans to return frequently.
