Sunset Condominiums offers a peaceful and convenient place to stay on the island, with friendly staff and easy check-in and check-out. The rooms are generally clean and quiet, making it a good retreat from the busy downtown area, which is about 1.5 miles away. Guests appreciate the stunning views and cozy atmosphere, with some enjoying the balcony and nearby attractions like The Backyard. The location is secluded enough for a relaxing experience, and the accommodations include amenities such as coffee, shampoo, and a nice porch. However, not all reviews are perfect. Some guests found the rooms to be in need of updates, with signs of aging on the balcony and issues like dirty walls and floors. Inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance problems, such as dust, cobwebs, and outdated appliances, were noted. The walls can be thin, affecting privacy, and the view may not be as impressive as before due to overgrown trees. A few guests mentioned minor safety concerns and the challenge of reaching the property by bike due to a steep hill. Overall, Sunset Condominiums is seen as a decent, affordable option for visitors who value a quiet, scenic spot with friendly service. While some areas could use improvements, many guests enjoyed their stay and the peaceful surroundings, making it a worthwhile choice for a short-term visit.
I always stay here when I come up to the Island. The staff are friendly and check in and check out is simple. The rooms are clean and it's quite and peaceful. It's like 1.5 miles from downtown which is something I like because it's secluded - ish.

Stunning view, great service and cozy spot. The balcony has some signs of aging and the luggage process felt a little confusing but for the beautiful tile, soft sheets and proximity to The Backyard - this place is worth a few night stay! One night felt far too short

Not great. Room was dirty. The bed smelled like stale beer & weed, the floor hadn't been cleaned in a while, & the walls were dirty.
Walls were super thin.
The view was probably great before all the trees grew in.
