The owner here is BY FAR the best car rental owner I have EVER rented from. The most professional and knowledgeable car rental place by leaps and bounds. I am spoiled there, and because of that, really dont want to rent from anywhere else.

The service and assistance that I received from the representatives at this Avis was truly outstanding! They went above and beyond with their assistance, when honestly they didn't have to. I would definitely recommend others to patronize their location. I am forever grateful for their kindness!

Worst location ! Poor customer service and vehicles didn’t even seem in good shape from the outside. They lady at the desk with the dreads and the bold black sharpie eyebrows ( if you hate your job find a new one )had an attitude before I stepped up to the counter. They hate when you use discounts. Never again for this location.

Our entire rental experience with Pam at Avis was extremely professional, efficient, and well explained. Although the car we wanted wasn't available, she was able to get us a vehicle that suited our trip and budget needs. Very pleasant experience with a person who knows the industry well!

This Avis/ Budget combo car rental location in Macomb ( hall rd) is the absolute WORST and not worth your time !!! The employee Pam is downright rude and nasty to your face and has no clue what she’s doing. I had a prepaid one day reservation through a third party but accidentally had inputted the wrong drop off location. Pam printed out a contract to my daughter charging us another $420 until I stopped her . Pam started acting nasty not wanting to answer or explain any of the charges to us. She couldn’t even tell us the correct deposit amount. I requested her to just cancel our reservation and she instead told us to wait 20 mins so she could tend to other customers. After waiting 45 mins, without disclosing what she was doing Pam printed us a confirmation that we were taking the car ( I found out via an email I instantly received from Avis) and telling us falsely that she hadn’t charged us even though the email said our booking had been confirmed and we were being charged $127. I was questioning her if she had really cancelled my reservation why couldn’t she give me a cancellation number and she kept giving us conflicting roundabout answers. She even printed 2 different receipts with completely different dollar amounts from each other saying they confirm the cancellation but neither of them had any cancellation numbers on it. At that point I called AVIS corporate and luckily got an excellent representative who provided me a cancellation number and refunded my card . He also told me that the local agency could’ve done this for us pretty easy and the huge hassle they put us through was unnecessary. I’m hoping my daughter’s card wasn’t charged as those charges still say pending !!

Not the vehicle I wanted. Told there would be 400.00 cleaning fee if not brought back perfectly cleaned, yet window sticker shows 250.00. Next day after picking up vehicle, I was driving out of state when maintenance warning came on and telling me to take to a dealer. Called AVIS customer support, they told me switch it out at another AVIS store. Called 2 of them and they were out of vehicles because of Easter weekend. Prayed that I'd make it home to Michigan from Tennessee with no issues. Never offered compensation or upgrade. Poor experience.

Avis is a great company to rent a car from, my experience was great. I had great customer service as well as my car being ready once I got there. The price I paid was better than some other car rental places. My deposit was only $200 and credited back to my account once I returned the vehicle. My pickup experience as well as my dropoff expereince were quick and easy.

If I could give zero stars I would! I would NEVER recommend this company. It was the worst experience we have ever had. We had to change out our vehicle three times. The fourth time never happened. They gave us two suburbans that reeked of cigarettes and weed. So much so all of our belongings stunk. The first suburban as we were switching our stuff over to the next car, my husband found a container filled with tobacco leaves and a lighter in the back of one of the seats. I have three little kids 6 and under too. The second vehicle that they gave us was an expedition and the windshield wipers didn’t work at all and of course we were driving through a serve thunderstorm with tornado warnings. The third vehicle they finally gave us smelled the same as the first one with “smoke smell” written on the paper work. A tow truck driver brought us this car to switch out so we had no say. I spent 8 hours on the phone with them. They told us they were setting up a two way tow once again. They sent us the tow company and we called them just for them to tell us they had no record of coming to switch our vehicles. Customer service is horrible! And half the locations never answer their phones I would advise people to run! Look elsewhere for a rental! Disgusting vehicles and customer service.

I don't like leaving bad reviews because I feel like, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anytning at all..... I would just avoid this location if you can.
