1-Star Review for Discount Tire – Beware of Shady Sales Tactics!
I had an absolutely terrible experience at Discount Tire with a salesperson named Jimmy. I came in to have my tire checked, and after barely looking at my car for two minutes, he told me I needed three new tires—without any real explanation. Once they took my tire off, I told Jimmy I wasn’t interested in buying a new one, but suddenly, I was given no choice. He refused to put my old tire back on and kept pushing me to buy a new one, even though I made it clear I didn’t want to. It wasn’t until my brother got on the phone and convinced him that he finally agreed to put it back.
As a woman, I felt completely taken advantage of. Jimmy was pushy, dismissive, and clearly trying to pressure me into spending nearly $1,000 on tires I wasn’t even sure I needed. This experience felt like a scam, and I will never be coming back. Ladies, beware—this place does not have your best interest in mind.

Constantly Fabulous. They've been helping me at this location for about 15 years, now.
This last visit still wins, even though I had to wait a bit for the tires to be delivered. Driving on the spare isn't fun!
Got the call that tires were in, and I had a trunk full of grass seed, fertilizer, and 45 pounds of dog food.
Came back with spare tire aired up, spare put away properly, and all the other stuff in the trunk handled with care!
And again today, a walk-in for a new tire. Got there around 3pm before busy time. They had me out of there in less than thirty minutes...suggested a less expensive tire but I knew what I wanted, kudos to them. Doesn't get any better than this. They are my only go-to for tires for the last twenty years.

Spoke to two different workers on the phone, first one had no clue what a crankcase ventilation pressure sensor was. Told me to make an appointment and even gave an estimate, next worker who knew more said they don’t do any engine work and only tires, please get the workers on the same page.

The employees for the most part were nice, but the waiting time when you have an appt is just blasphemous. I had come in previously and the wait time for walk ins was three hours. I had an appointment a few days later at 2, came at 1:45, car did not get done until 3:45.. for one tire. Bit crazy in my opinion

The employees at this location are Tire Stars! They are a highly efficient and friendly group. I had Gene helping me out today. He was informative, very knowledgeable as to what was best for my vehicle given its use and personable. Thank you Discount Tire of Macomb!

I love this location 😍 Dedicated Tire Pressure Check Lane all the time, big parking lot, and yummy restaurants nearby so I can get a meal while you put tires on my car.

Discount Tire came through for us; even when a warehouse that sold tires told me that there was a national shortage of THAT particular tire. The Discount Tire store associate even called their source in Ohio, just to make sure that my tires would be at their store the next morning. They were. Buying my tires through Discount Tires website made it much easier for the store and quicker to get them installed and out the door. My third time purchasing services through Discount Tire; twice by taking advantage of what was once called Tire Rack, and this most recent time at the actual store. We'll never go anywhere else.
