I visited this location and did not feel particularly welcomed. I greeted the staff when I entered, but they did not greet me in return or offer assistance. After looking around for a while, I left without making a purchase.

This location is great. it’s clean and has a friendly staff. I was looking for license plate screws. I bought a pair but it wouldn’t fit.
Micheal helped me find the right pair and install them as well. I appreciate that.

Staff at this location are always helpful. Everything is well stocked, unfortunately it's a little pricey, just like any non big box hardware store.

I dont know why I bother with Home Depot Or Lowes. Associate's are always away from the area you need help in. Walked into Ace looking for paint. This after spending time in Home Depot getting zero help. Gentleman asked me right away if I need assistance. Told him I need it in paint. Got Eric over to help. Told Eric what I was painting and had no clue what to get. He explained to me what I needed and why. Picked out my colors . Mixed them. Gave me a few mixing sticks and can opener. Eric was super busy too. Helping other customer while doing this. Every time I've gone in , there has always been someone to help or ask a question.

Ace the not so helpful place. Long story sort, I got some blank keys through Amazon for my vehicle. I went into Ace thinking that man, they have a state of the art key cutting machine they should be able to cut the keys. Well they refused to cut my key after speaking to 2 different gentlemen. I explained I just needed the keys cut, and I would take care of the programming. In their minds, they came up with some crazy story about how they cut a car key once, and it ruined someone's car, so they can't do it anymore. That made no sense to me seeing how the key portion doesn't have anything to do with the transponder chip that's in the case of the key. Anyways went to true value and the older gentleman their cut my key on his what seemed to be original equipment that came with the store and manually cut the keys for me for just over 5 bucks a key. In the end, everything worked out. I just wish it was less of a Hassel, I guess.

This particular location has always had a knack for hiring well mannered, self respecting, capable kids. The rest of the crew are great too, I wanted to make a point to compliment the youth that work here. It's refreshing to see there is still hope in some of our young and their ethics. Now-then, about the store - it's set up just like it was back in the glory years. They have items for basic home repairs. They have a propane filling station if you are into using a gas grill. There is a hand tool area that is not all that bad. They have gardening equipment and sections of pipe as well. Of course they have hardware and chances are you'll find what you're looking for. I like it here and would MUCH rather come to a local franchised shop over some big "out of touch" corporate chain.

I bought a Weber grill recently from Macomb Ace Hardware. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable about the grills and their accessories, but when one burner didn't light (after free delivery), they came back to my house to fix it and make sure everything worked properly. No push-back - just wanted to make sure I was a happy customer. I am!

I moved to New Baltimore and have a hardware store right across the street, but I still drive to this Ace store because they are so helpful it’s amazing! The knowledge and skill they have is so very hard to find these days! I salute your store for keeping it “old school”!
