I had a great experience with them, relying on their expertise. They do not overpromise, do not overcommit and listen to the client needs (and budget). Alex made great suggestions based on that.

We recently worked with North Winds to build our forever home, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. From the moment we started discussing plans Alex and Nino were outstanding in their customer service and willing to entertain all of my custom design requests to find a way to make it happen.
They went above and beyond to address any questions or concerns I had, providing constant updates and guidance every step of the way. They were also extremely helpful in giving guidance when I had a vision but couldn't put it into words. It's evident that they take great pride in building houses their clients will love to call home.
I would use North Winds a hundred times over if I ever had to go through building a new home again.

We just wanted to say thank you to Nino and Alex who helped us create our dream home! It was an awesome and wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend North Winds Building and Construction if you are looking to build a house!
Design: Nino and Alex Battaglia, both were involved with the design of the home – they were able to capture and incorporate our wishes and desires into one of their home plans – very nicely done fellas!
Expertise: From the very first meeting Nino was always cognizant of our craftsman style home theme, he would make recommendations on items to help facilitate that theme and occasionally pointing out when we were making choices that were not in line with our own design theme. He captured key areas of concern and made sure those areas were not just completed but completed with the best resources available.
Professionalism & Organization: The organization went beyond the project manager’s oversight of the subcontractors. Everything was laid out for us in detail from the first project meeting at his dining room table to the initial review of the customized floor plans and blueprints at the construction site. Nino was on top of invoicing, and construction progression reporting to our financial institution through the entire project.
Schedule: We finished on the early end of his schedule despite a minor setback early in the project (injury to the hand of the concrete sub-contractor). Nino kept us informed of what would be happening the next few days and who would be coming in to work and the approximate time they would arrive. If that changed during the day, we would receive a text of the adjustment - especially if we were needed onsite to aid in the decision.
Budget: When you demolish an existing home to build your new one you quickly learn to be prepared for expensive surprises hiding underneath. It’s inevitable that there will be something that drives the cost up. Our budget had allowance for “surprises” but there really went any from the project. It was always clear from the signing of the contract/first kickoff meeting - what was covered in the estimate -VS- what we would be responsible for (additional “added items”) that might/could/would exceed the estimate and have to be paid for as we went along. Our extra charges “added items” were thoroughly discussed and reasonably priced with no hidden expenses. Some were at the recommendation of Nino while most were requested by us as the project progressed. Nino and Alex did a masterful job fitting them into the project timeline. All were beautifully incorporated additions “add-ons” that added comfort or style to the home.
Construction Quality: Nino would show us and explain each part of the work before moving on, and often explained why he used certain subcontractors. Nino and Alex did most all of the finish work –as with the rough construction the finish work was of excellent quality.
Problem Resolution: Things were planned so well that problems were minimal. They kept on top of ordering and keeping track of the delivery status with vendors, which was challenging at times with weather/limited resources from suppliers as well as demand issues. Once the concrete was finished, we really had “no issues” that caused delay. We were responsible for some things as related to the demolition of the old home and reestablishing those items (well and power) from the old to the new house. But Nino made it a seamless induction and easy to move forward on them.
Trust: This comes down to good project management and communication. We hired a home builder to build us our dream home. We ended up with our dream home and new friends as well!
We absolutely love our new home and receive many compliments on it! It was built with the highest quality and turned out even more beautiful than we ever imagined. We would use North Winds Building and Construction again and highly recommend them!

Alex and Nino recently completed a total main bathroom remodel for me. From start to finish, I found them to be honest, hard working and professional - yet very personable and friendly. They showed up when promised and they did the job exactly as planned. Their pricing was fair and honest. I am so pleased with the outcome. I will not hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them to family, friends and to all who are reading this review. I cannot say enough good things about North Winds. My sincerest and heartfelt gratitude to Nino and Alex Battaglia for making our home beautiful and the whole remodeling experience relatively simple. They take pride in their workmanship and it is evident in each step of the remodeling process from start to finish. They were willing to work within our budget and accommodate any changes/additions that came up throughout the process. They did, and usually do, the majority of the work themselves and sub-contracted the plumber, electrician and mechanical on our job. Here are some things they did better than most:1. Returned texts/phone calls2. Proactively notified me when a sub-contractor/inspector would be coming or of any change in the following days plan3. Kept the job site clean4. Worked a set schedule, unless they had to stay a little later to finish something so they could be ready for the next step the following day5. Offered sensible solutions to any unforeseen issues that popped up and there weren’t many6. Genuinely want to do a good job and don’t cut corners7. Kept the job on track so it would be completed on schedule, they are good so they are busy and have work waiting in the wings8. Overall, you get the impression that you are in good hands from day one and that feeling continues throughout the process, no babysitting neededThey are true professionals, knowledgeable, experienced and genuinely nice people who operate their business with integrity. We have had 3 newly built houses and several remodeling jobs over the years. Never have we dealt with such skilled,, innovative workers! Not only were Alex and Nino great to work with but they took so much pride in their work.. This was a major remodel of a kitchen and dining room where they removed walls and reconfigured the layout. The computer design was exactly what the finish project looked like. They were just amazing!! You’ll never find harder working or friendlier contractors ever. Fantastic kitchen re-model! Nino and Alex did an outstanding job designing and re-modeling everything in our outdated kitchen. They worked with us at every step to be sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Communication was outstanding. The computer model that they made at the very beginning gave us an extremely accurate idea of what the finished kitchen would look like and they exceeded our vision! They had creative solutions for matching the new kitchen to the existing rooms, and the house exterior (when we removed a door wall) with unique, custom work. North Winds has completed concrete work for me as well as remodeling my kitchen, dining room, great room, ½ bath, mudroom, and foyer. I interviewed many contractors for the job. Several of the contractors, including North Winds, were recommendations from friends or colleagues. All seemed as though they had the skill to get the job done. North Winds, however, was the only one that immediately conveyed the feeling of having a true investment in their customer. Alex and Nino became my chosen contractors (and will continue to be) because they took the time to get to know me and my needs in the remodel; rather than just telling me what they could or would do. Exceeded our expectations. This was done during Covid, and Alex & Nino still got the job done. A full kitchen remodel: granite counters, new cabinets, new floor, knocked out a wall, added a bar area and they were done so fast. Their communication was second to none; we've dealt with other contractors in the past that never call you back. These guys were very quick to get back to us. North Winds' slogan is: "We Build It Your Way." The company is flexible and service-oriented. North Winds created a beautiful bathroom for me. I have a shower unit with a comfortable seat and glass doors plus an aluminum shelf for bathing essentials. The hand-held shower is adjustable. My high toilet includes a bidet, and several mirrors grace the large medicine cabinet. The contractors were patient with me. With their guidance I chose my options, including hardware and paint. In addition, they helped me with an urgent issue not connected with the bathroom renovation. Working with North Winds was a pleasure, and I recommend the company.

We had North Wind remodel our Kitchen several years back and they did an excellent job. We recently had them add a wine room to the house. They were again fast, professional and very responsive. We are very happy with their work. We have had other (bigger) companies work on our house and they were not as fast, on time or did as good of a job. You can tell they take pride in their work and keep their promises. We will use them again in the future.Services: Remodeling

Alex and Nino did a complete remodel of the bathroom in our house, which was built in 1967. It was very dated. The job they did was fantastic. Everything is high quality and just beautiful. They did everything they said they would do. They accommodated our request to minimize the amount of time we were without a shower. They were punctual, courteous, professional and clean. The tile, glass, and pencil molding in our tub area is a work of art. These guys are great! We are going to hire them again to do some additional work.
