Need wash for windows at the gas station. You pay for membership but can't get the basics you get for free at other stations. Gas price not much a discount anymore

I just recently had the worst experience at BJs after shopping at this location for 5 years.. I have been coming here since the doors opened..
Our issue started with the front end manager Evan…we were renewing our membership through Groupon.
Upon entering the store we were told our renewal was still processing through Groupon, to shop around and come back to the membership desk for the card before we check out (which we did).
Once we finished shopping and went back to the desk our membership renewal with Groupon was still processing and another team member gave us a “day pass”
We proceed to the register to check out and realize there is an extra $40 charge..we ask for a manager to override it because we have a membership. This is where Evan steps in and is EXTREMELY rude. He states he cannot override the charge, he doesn’t ask to see the membership or offer any solution aside from leaving the store empty handed and retuning when we have a membership…(completely opposite of what I was told entering the store to print my membership card before I began shopping.)
I tell Evan we have a membership, I’ve had one for years it’s processing & Evan responds you don’t have a membership with BJs..you have a groupon…
We continue back and forth and I ask Evan to step away because I realize he isn’t going to be any help and I’m considering paying the extra money despite having a membership…
Evan steps infront of the cart with my child in it and says no I can’t move or leave because I need to void this transaction out..
I ask for a few minutes to think it over and I say at this point your standing here staring is making my wife, my daughter and I uncomfortable. Evan responds with your welcome to feel uncomfortable….
We began to feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed and left.
I call corporate from the parking lot and place an escalated complaint based on how we had been treated and the bad information we had been given on our membership..
I called the store to speak with the manager and the first person I spoke with picked up, I ask why I was given bad information and tell him our experience. He apologized, suggested we speak with the store manager due to how we were handled and tells us to come in and get our card….
After leaving empty handed with no groceries, after asking for a few minutes to decide and being denied that…we had a membership card in our hand within in 3 minutes.
Today, 3 days later Jessica (the assistant manager) returned my complaint call defending Evan.
Stating that despite the constant incorrect information, and poor customer service we would not be receiving an apology from Evan or compensation.
She went as far as to say she watched the video back (with no sound) and it showed no aggression on Evans end…and that the staff stated “we said we were going to walk out with the basket”…..as in steal a whole cart with our toddler in the front basket…
I went from coming in with the intention to make a purchase to still not having those items 4 days later and being accused of having the intent to steal..
We were berated and embarrassed over a membership card that was printed out before we left the premises…by a non manager..
Because we didn’t feel comfortable coming back into the store.
Does that sound like customer service or customer retention BJ’s?
I am extremely disappointed in the lack of service and care for your customers.
Being accused of “trying” to steal..after having checked out an entire cart and standing at the register is beyond an injustice….
I’d like to share the entire story…the call from management was recorded.
Still awaiting a call from corporate ..

Sometimes the wait is hideous. Closes too early. Should be 24 hours for gas.
