They are really bad. I have been a Costco member since 1998, so figured would give tire center a chance. Tire rotations take a minimum of 1 hour and often 1.5 hours. Constantly trying to sell lug nuts. Will not use again.

I bought a set of tires at Costco Madison Heights because there was a $60 savings. . The tires were not installed properly and there was a leak in one of the tires. I brought the car back and they said that I needed to schedule a repair, even though the tire was not installed properly the first time. I explained my situation to two different clerks and both said that they did not want to inconvenience the other customers, but were not concerned about inconveniencing me or the possibility of me be stranded with a flat tire. I wasted 4 hours of my valuable time on the rework not to mention the angst with dealing with the inconsiderate staff. I wish I would have just went to Discount Tire like I usually do. Tire rotation and balance took an 1.5 hours.
Granted, I went at 5pm on Friday, thinking that it wouldn't take as long. I was deeply wrong.
People were super nice, just unfortunate that it took so long

Phenomenal experience and great experience getting new tires at this Costco tire center. The team is super knowledgeable and friendly. I bought my tires on the Costco website and had them delivered to the Costco tire center and scheduled my appointment online. I brought my car in, parked it next to the tire center, brought in my keys, did a shopping trip and my car was ready! They ask you to bring your car back after driving 25 miles to check that everything is tightened well… I popped in – no appointment needed – and they checked it right away and I was out in three minutes. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Went in for a leak in my tire. Said it would be a 10 mins job. I waited around for two hours and was told after repeated requests that they couldn't work on the tire because they couldn't get a lug nut off. Apparently they knew hours ago but didn't bother to come talk to the guy with a toddler that was waiting on them for 2 hours. Avoid at all costs

I needed to replace my tires for Ford transit 250. I booked an appointment on Sunday at 1:45 pm and they didn’t get to work on my car until 2:55 and then didn’t replace my tires until almost 4 o'clock. I’ve never had to wait 2+ hours to replace my tires. This is the last time I’m coming here.

Jonny at the Madison Heights Costco Tire Center was honest and helpful. He was able to get me scheduled quickly for my new tire installation. Then the day of my appointment I was even able to scoot it later twice when my tow was delayed. Great experience during a stressful time.

Nikki and Dave were amazing! I came in for a warranty tire replacement and they made the process soooo effortless for me. This is my first set of tires from Costco and they have a customer for life. Thank you!

I purchased new tires for my car in early December 2024, when I called to schedule an appointment the staff were so kind and helpful. I suspected I had a small leak in one tire and wasn't sure if I should but that green tire sealant (kind of looks like slime lol) and they immediately told me no as it would mess with the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring sensor). I had the wheels installed a few days within them being delivered, due to my scheduling conflicts. The whole process of ordering and installation was seamless and easy.
A few weeks after installation I had to come back due to two tires being installed the wrong way (there is lettering on wheels to indicate inside versus outside). Luckily it was discovered quickly (shoutout to Pep Boys staff who informed me) and Payton (Costco Tire Center Manager) was there and immediately apologized and said they'd get it fixed right away and mentioned new staff in training who may have overlooked this (totally understandable!).
I came around 5PM on New Years Eve and was back on the road by 5:30PM (FYI they closed at 6PM!). Everyone has been so kind and professional at this location and I am a bit shocked by some negative reviews. I have nothing but great things to say about them!

Not one to leave bad reviews ever. I had a slow leak in my front drivers side tire which I told the Costco worker going into the appointment. I waited 2.5 hours for them to come back and tell me they couldn’t find anything wrong. Went to a different tire shop after, waited 15 minutes and they told me they found a small nail and fixed my tire, all within those 15 minutes. Costco tired wasted my time and theirs, it could’ve been so simple! But they were friendly so I feel bad giving 1 star…

My daughter and I were running errands today with the puppy I’m currently raising for Leader Dogs for the Blind here in Michigan. My daughter asked if she could just run into Costco for a few items and I decided to stay in the car with the puppy since it was a hot day and he was tired from going with us into two other stores. While waiting in the parking lot, my low tire pressure warning light went on. Fortunately for us, Costco Tire Center was able to repair my tire while we waited, and it was only $14! The Costco employees were very gracious and kind and it ended up being a great training opportunity for our Future Leader Dog Puppy. Once again, Costco came through! Thanks!

It was a little bit annoying to have to purchase the tires online to get an appointment scheduled and then having to call in, but after that they got me right in, finished in less time than they quoted, and everything went smoothly which is hard to say at any place I go to anymore
