I found everything I was looking for and even got a great deal on the fabric I purchased, plus an additional 20% off. So I left happy. Update ! They did it again! I found some great items on monday!

I'm editing my prior 5 star review to make a 1 star review due to the horrific service at the store now.
Went to get a pickup order, it's raining so I go inside to be curtious to the workers. I can't pick up because the pick up hours are done. It's an hour before close and there are no hours posted online, in the app or on the building. So I ask about not being able to get my 1 item that I could of walked up and grabbed bc no one is at the counter. The young lady says sorry no, I asked if she can cancel it because i can't come back tomorrow, tells me no and to call customer service. I hope her fluffed up bangs grow out in the worst way possible. The attitude was not needed, the crossed arms and body language with the slight eye roll was way too much for a simple question. I understand the workers don't make the policy but to be that rude is killer. That's just to top the poorly stocked store that looks like it's never been cleaned and horrible quantity on hands.
I will not shop with this company at all after this, I have an online order coming in and will be returning the whole order.

I've recently taken up a new hobby, beading. To my surprise beads were 60% off. I proceeded to loose my mind in picking out beads.? Holly help with a storage container and an item used to line them up to make my book markers and other questions I had. She even told me about a 50% off coupon that I desperately needed. ??? I'll be back soon Joann.

I returned the product back into the store given to an Amy along with my receipt. They were having some systems issues and though the items were purchased in their store and returned with the receipt their system was malfunctioning. Her manager authorized her to keep the items and processed the return within a few days from 1/27/2024.
However the items still have not been processed and when I was back in town I went back into the store and spoke with a Dawn who treated me very much discriminatively running out the store to call the manager saying no one can authorize to return cash to me though I paid by debit and demanding my ID which they shouldn't be asking me for.
She didn't return my items to me nor did she process the return and corporate complaints have been filed on her as well.
It's been over a month and this store has the items, my receipt and my money.
Oddly enough this seems to be the only location in Michigan without a BBB profile.

Placed an order online for yarn over the weekend. I picked it up on Monday around 1:00 PM. Only 1 cashier working. Had to go in to get order. This place always has a line at lunchtime with very little help in site.

I placed an online order for pick up at the Madison Heights location. I did not receive a notification that my order was ready, but since the order was placed the day prior I decided to go see if the order was ready anyways. Upon arrival, my order wasn't ready. No big deal just asked if I could be directed to where I would find iron on patches. The selection was extremely picked over and could not find the same ones I had ordered. I asked for further assistance in which they said they had "6 months of inventory in the back that needed to be sorted through". I mentioned my online order that I placed the day prior. Their response was "if I didn't receive an email my order was not ready and they could not tell me when my order would be ready." I ended up cancelling my order and bought different patches online through Amazon. Would not recommend the Madison Heights location especially it's time sensitive.

This is, hands down, the worst Joann’s in South East Michigan, maybe even all of Michigan. I have been here numerous times the past 3 months and every single time it some gets worse. The store is a giant mess, but they are also simultaneously out of stock in everything. There is, at max, 3 people working the whole store, 2 of which refuse to hop on a register. I stood in the check out line for 35 mins on my most recent trip. I would have left but I already had fabric cut and needed it for a project. I think I have finally learned my lesson and will go to a different location next time.

I visited Joann Fabric and Crafts on John R, looking for fabric to make cushions. When I pulled up, the parking lot was clean. The store was clean and the employees were friendly. Joann has a wide variety of fabric to choose from. I purchased a beautiful fabric and trim. There was a line at the fabric counter. Therefore, I had to wait to have my fabric cut. The young lady was nice, but I didn't understand why she started putting accumulated fabric away before she serviced the customers waiting in line. It was the last day to use my 60% off coupon that I received in the mail. I save a lot of money. Overall my shopping experience was good. I will visit this Joann Fabric and Crafts again.

Popped in this afternoon (went to another location yesterday and it wasn't the best experience). This store was more clean and organized. Friendly staff. Will go back to this location again.

I have been here three times, and each time I have gone I have felt like the biggest inconvenience as a customer that needed help for the store's mess ups. The first time I went was the day after xmas, and yes this is a very very busy day. Joann had two employees working and we were told several times it was our fault for the bad service for coming in on such a busy day. Strike one. Next I went to pick up an online order and my order couldn't be completed even though it had said it was in stock online. I asked for help on how to get what was missing and again was treated terribly, like it was my fault and that I was an annoyance for asking how I could fulfill my order (when their online inventory was wrong!). Ended up driving 45 min away to fulfill it myself. That's 2. Finally, went again for an online order and asked for help on if I could exchange for a different color. A lady took my online order slip while I went to look for a different color, came back up to the front, and was accused of stealing and doing the online order process wrong because I didn't have my slip. I tried to explain another employee took my slip and again was met with scoffs and eye rolls until the other employee vouched for me and brought my slip to the register. That's 3. I will be taking a major hiatus from this Joann and will ONLY be ordering for shipping to my house (maybe) or going a little further to Michaels. Hoping it will be better some day.

Oof, I don't even know where to start. Came in for a visit with my MIL and the place is a HOT MESS. We were told that they are moving stuff around and it was very apparent. Many other customers were as confused as we were with the whole situation. Unfortunately some of the staff was downright disrespectful and rude to a few customers who were not able to locate a few items. The employees would roll their eyes and mutter under their breath 'we don't know where it is either...' I won't be going back if I can help it.

I went into the store and I needed help all the workers working that day were super rude. I asked for help and nobody seemed to care. The store was also very messy things opened and thrown on the floor. Never coming to this location again. Do better next time!
