This place is horrible... The owner Paula is so rude and doesnt care about her clients. Ive done business with this firm for over 20 years and now that John and Tim are both gone, this company has gone down the tubes. I will take my money and go elsewhere.

Had an issue last year, but gave them another chance this year. Disappointed in the jumbled service. Had to remind them several times of past conversations. They also charged more than stated at the beginning for both my taxes and my sons. I will not be returning.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED with how I was treated today when getting the phone call my taxes were prepared. Jodi was who prepared them for me and after asking her to explain to me why I owed all she did was repeat the same thing over and over again - since I am not a tax professional I would hope the "professional" I am paying should be able to explain to me in a way I can understand. I then had to google while on the phone with her the household income amount for the child tax credit to then have her verify whether or not she had correctly applied the credit. While trying to do the math as to how I could owe because again I didn't understand in all of my years filing taxes I have never had to pay- with her getting louder and louder throughout the call - I told her in a more stern voice not even matching how she had been speaking to me the WHOLE phone call that I didn't like how she was speaking to me, I didn't understand what she was explaining and that I was uncomfortable with how the phone call was going she then shouted at me "WELL THEN CALL BACK WHEN YOU ARE CALM" and proceeded to hang up on me. I have NEVER in my life dealt with such UNPROFESSIONALISM I have been going to this company for years as well as my family. We have sent TONS of business their way. I would never recommend this business to anyone ever again. I will be picking up my documents and taking my business elsewhere.

This place has gone way downhill since John passed, there's just 2 ladies working there and I kept having to correct them, and when I got home I discovered I was getting a check instead of direct deposit like I've been getting for the past 7 years, they need to bring someone in who knows their customers, I would expect this from H&R block NOT here!

I was devastated when I learned today that Timothy Roberts was no longer employed here. He has been doing my taxes for many years and has always been efficient and professional. He's the best!! Thank you to the gal who suggested searching for him on Facebook. I was quickly able to find him and make contact. His business card and contact info is posted there for those like me who went to John's Tax Service specifically because of him. He is still preparing taxes but from home. Search Timothy Roberts on Facebook and look for the one with the Lion profile picture.

I wouldn't recommend doing anything with this business!! I paid them to do my taxes and after they cash your check you are on your own!!! My taxes were supposed to be e- filed for 2019 and after waiting for 8 months for my refund I called the office to find out what was taking so long. The phone was answered by "Jodie" and she couldn't have been any more rude. I was told that the computer showed my return had been filed and there was nothing they could do and I could refile my return by mail. I decided to call the irs myself and they told me they had no record of me filing for 2019. I immediately called the office and " Jodie" answered again and believe it or not she was even more rude than before. Again I was told there was nothing they could do. Thank god I found Tim Roberts ( former John's tax service employee) and he corrected the problem in a matter of minutes and at no charge!! If you need your taxes done DONT use John's tax service . Very disappointing. I called to set up an appointment with Tax professional, Timothy Roberts. He has been doing my taxes for years and the best in the business. After calling the receptionist, I’m told that Timothy Roberts no longer works here and I request for his personal cell number. The receptionist tells me that they will not give that out even though the company is “family owned”. After some hunting on Facebook I was able to find Timothy Roberts and reached out and obtained his cell phone number for anyone else looking to. Extremely unprofessional business.

After nearly two decades of John's Tax Service preparing are taxes were done because of the new management. Ever here the one about the exil stepmother? After 10 years since the founder passed Tim (Son of John) the primary tax preparer and junior partner is fired by his stepmother right before Thanksgiving 2020. Were all scratching our heads, why and how could she do this. As of December there is no certified tax preparer on site.It's easier for a camel to go threw the eye of a needle then a rich man get to heaven.

After my previous tax guy went AWOL, I was scrambling to find someone to get my taxes done. I was recommended to JTS from a friend and was not disappointed. Tim did an amazing job getting things filed before the deadline even though I dropped it on his lap with barely a week left. The customer service from both women working there was fantastic. I will be back again next year!

Terrible experience with John's Tax Service. Actually, the business has gone to crap since John passed away. I have had errors that have cost me on my tax service and decided to give them another chance this tax season. I sent my taxes in over a week before they were due and had to email/call numerous times. They finished my taxes THE DAY THEY WERE DUE and I live out of state and I'm in the middle of buying a house. Their office manager is RUDE and the service fee to have your taxes done has gone up over 100%. NOT WORTH IT...go to H & R Block, they are fast and accommodating.

I was a bit disappointed that when I went to pick up my prepared taxes, there were two girls working with no masks or gloves. When the current situation of COVID-19 was mentioned, one girl kept repeating that the virus isn't a big deal & that people die of the flu all the time & that Covid has been around for years (she's right about it being around but this is a new strain that no one is familiar with) & the other girl kept repeating that this virus came from China anyway (yes, probably true but it is here now). My easy peasy taxes were also quite a bit more expensive than in previous years. I don't think I'll be going back there. It was recommended by a friend & very convenient as it's in my neighborhood. When a customer comes in with mask & gloves on, they need to know that person takes it very seriously & it could be life & death for them. I'm sorry to find out that these girls just don't seem to care (& they had no real reason nor any good excuses for their position).
