They put my 3 year old ( he would be 3 in three months) who had potty trained to a 1.5-2 year old room, we were told we are on a waiting list and should be able to attend the 3 year old classroom in about two months, however after we started the school we noticed this room does not have a bathroom inside, when kids need a change stuff will have to bring them out of the room to use the hallway bathroom, however the door in between the classroom & the hallway is thick heavy bulky, there is no way my son can push that door open to use the bathroom by himself, and he is too shy to ask when he needs to go, so to be safe he had to back to wear diapers, this is ridiculous, and yet he had full diaper EVERY time I go get him at 4pm, this is unacceptable.Horribly how neglected the staffs are. He was left in the room all by himself one day I went to go get him, tears all over his face left in the empty classroom behind the closed thick door, looks like he had been cried for a while. From beginning to the end there was no stuff around, no one at the desk, no one around, no one to talk to, yet no one noticed that I took my son away from the school this day, horrible! One of the front dest lady has 4 kids in the school of her own, a few other teachers told me they all have kids attend here, seems that your kids are not gonna be fairly treated if you don’t work here.During snack time, none of the kids were required to wash their hands before grab these apple slices, my son got hand foot mouth disease the first week attend here, he had to stay home for 3 weeks to recover. All the rooms are dirty and filthy, aged floors carpet furniture, they really need to redo or deep clean this place! 3+ kids class rooms are all in the basement, not right. They have 2days/week available for us, school fee chart says around $700/month for us, but we were billed $900/month, more than what we expected, we were told the chart is outdated. I paid in full for the whole month, then my son got sick the first week attended there, I phoned the school just to see if possible they can credit me a week or two towards my next payment they would not credit one single dollar back.Note: the outdoor playground is usable to use looks like under an abandoned construction during our attendance summer 2023.Note: No sign in& out by parent(s) at this school.I withdraw my son after two months bad experience actually only 4 or 5 days but we had enough. I phoned several times in order to schedule a time to pick up my son's belongs, no one takes or returns my calls, I stopped by one day, from the glass door the front desk looked empty so I phoned, a young lady walked out from the back room to the front desk peeked at the phone then turned around left without answering the phone, I guess they save your name in their phone, when she saw my name she didn’t feel answering just walked away. This school is nothing to do with Christian but gossip and politics, stuffs are neglected to the children, outdated everything, this school does not have the atmosphere we are looking for. They treated my son poorly. We are going to a smaller community school with humanistic care, this is definitely a fake Christian school.

I do not recommend this daycare. My kid attended this daycare almost about a year. They lack structure. Always short on stuff. Besides lots of other issues, one of the teacher forgot my 2yr old kid at playground for some time and they went in. The thought of what would might have happen still haunts me. NEGLECTFUL. DO NOT recommend.P.S. In response of the reply, Yes, she was left at the playground and the teacher told us herself and asked us to sign a paper. I am disappointed that Joyful Jungle is trying to deny that.Yes. As, parents are not given a copy of the paper, obviously we have no proof for that. But, that does not mean that it did not happen.

We have had a great experience at Joyful Jungle for the past year. They’ve taken great care of both of our girls, one an infant and one a 3-year old. We are moving and are sad to leave what has become an extension of our family. Can’t say enough about the teachers and staff, especially Anna, Sarah, Audrey, Meagan and Allie. They have provided a loving and caring environment for my daughters which has been so appreciated. And they provide food for the kids which has always made it easier on us parents. They are also great about communicating and sending updates and pictures through the app throughout the day. I don’t worry about my kids during the day because I know they’re in great hands! If you’re looking for care in the Royal Oak/Madison Heights area, definitely check them out!

Our experience at Joyful Jungle has been superb ever since we enrolled our daughter around 6 months of age. Her teachers are attentive, loving, and give us such peace of mind when dropping her off for school. We also love receiving photos, meals, nap and other updates through the app real-time.

Two stars because the teachers were great, admin staff not so much. My daughter attended for only 4 months before we pulled her. She loved the teachers and while there was turnover in the 4 months she attended the teachers really did care about her and her progress. We had issues with the way things were ran from the start. The orientation process was clunky at best, and communication was terrible. Communication around illnesses was not provided in a timely manner (several days to report a case of RSV for example), every time there was something we needed to email about the admin staff was extremely defensive. The final straw for us was when we expressed concern about admin staff choosing to move our daughter to another room 6 months early and none of the concerns about our daughters development and progress were taken into consideration. The admin refused to set a meeting with the owner to discuss it and we were given no other option but to pull our daughter. It was clear that they had over enrolled and were trying to push children to a new class early. As a childcare facility, there didn’t seem to be much concern for the children, only their bottom line. It also became clear they didn’t treat the teachers well.I also became aware of a program where they give big discounts for 5 star reviews on google, Yelp, and in mommy groups on Facebook. “Buying” reviews is gross, especially when it comes to childcare.

Be very careful which credit/debit card you give them for payment. And watch it closely after you stop attending camp. “Rachel” well help herself to the money she is not entitled to. And then she will make up some “contract rules, That is news to you, about a four week notice to quit in a desperate attempt to keep the money.

Do not recommend working here. They want to overwork you but still pay you at $11. They wanted me to do lead teacher stuff at a teacher assistant pay. Fuck no lmao

Joyful has been home to my 2 kids for the past 3 years. From day one they have treated me and my kids like family. Initially when i put my kids in it was the first time i had ever done daycare so me and my kids were very scared and had separation issues. They were BEYOND patient with me. They would send me texts and pictures constantly to let me know they were okay. My kids are absolutely obsessed with their teachers and so am I! I am so blessed to drop my kids off to a daycare that i feel confident in. I dont have a single complaint about Joyful!

I feel like my daughter loves going to "school" because of the teachers there. She has been in the baby room and the 1 year old room. Her teachers always take great care of her, and I appreciate that they do regular learning activities even with the little kids.

Some staff members are really great with kids and caring. I can tell that they work really hard and do love their students. But if the director doesn't care then it shows in the quality of the place. And unfortunately, this is the case for this place. I have seen the staff work diligently while also looking worn out and exhausted. Sometimes it is so difficult with so many other children needing attention that my kids sometimes get neglected. Thankfully, my kids are not the needy type. I deeply appreciate them for taking care of my two children. This place also claims to be a "Christian learning Center" but there is nothing Christian about it other than that Christian music is played out in the lobby and the kids pray before their meals. Their type of curriculum are based on play only. They are always short on staff and I see new faces every month. The director(s) seriously need to rethink about how they can better take care of the staffs who are taking care of the kids and how it can benefit the children and parents. And last note, THEY WRITE THEIR OWN REVIEWS so please be aware of what your reading.

My son was enrolled here for roughly 6 month. The concept they have here is great and but the teachers just don’t last long here. I think this is due the lack of management. The owner seemed very kind at first and then as issues arose she seemed defensive. The culture there seems good though. The teachers who had been there a long time seem patient and understanding. I am rating this 2 stars simply because while my son was enrolled he had gone through 5 teachers.
