“We have always had excellent food and service here and always suggest this restaurant to others, until today. We walked in asking for a 6 top and they tried to seat us at a 4 top, claiming that they seat 8 there, no way. They had 5 open tables but refused to let us have 2 tables for us 6. The 2 girls we talked with were rude and openly talking about us in front of us. We left.”

“This is an older motel that it seems they are updating as they can. The front desk lady was very nice and welcoming. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable memory foam mattresses. We slept really well. The air quality in the room was dank and moist even with the a/c running. It was plenty cold enough but it stayed humid which feels kind of gross. Despite the crumbling plaster in the bathroom it was clean and the shower water pressure was fine. I took a shower with hot water. The next person to take a shower said it was ice cold and then went to luke warm. Fridge was cold, tv worked well and has cable. One hook in the whole room. No place to keep things off the floor. The closet smells weird so we were reluctant to hang things in there. The slider had no lock but did have a pvc pipe to put down as a locking mechanism. Short walk to Lake Michigan. Short walk to River St where all the cute shops are. The patio overlooking the river is nice and the rocking Adirondack chairs are great. Love that it’s dog friendly without price gouging. The office sign says it’s open at 7a but it was not and I had to go buy coffee elsewhere. There is no coffee in the room. Overall it’s a fine place to stay for a night or two. It’s clean, and that’s really what matters.”

“We had a fantastic stay, great service, and the manager went above and beyond for us with some issues with the 3rd party booking.. My advice is just to book straight with the hotel they offer the same discount as the 3rd party sites do :)”

“Tremendous value. I stayed while skiing at Crystal Mountain and it was a reasonable distance there. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and engaging, they make the difference. Highly recommended and will be returning as soon as possible! Thank you.”
