Root Cellar Resort and Dining is a reliable place for a good meal, often described as incredible and fantastic. Under new ownership, the menu remains the same with great additions like a new concrete patio for outdoor seating. The food is excellent and cooked to perfection, with highlights including the Saturday Prime Rib with generous cuts, rib eye, pulled pork sandwich, mushroom swiss burger, club sandwich, Friday fish fry, and cheese curds. The salad bar is highly recommended for its freshest fixings and good ranch dressing. Sides like well-seasoned fries are also praised. Service is amazing, attentive, and fantastic, with staff noted as super friendly and making guests feel very welcome and at home. The bar service is outstanding. The location on the lake is convenient, though more boat parking is a recommended improvement. The overall experience is superb and well worth the cost, with many guests stating they will definitely return and cannot say enough good things.
I stayed here recently on business. My room was awesome and felt very clean. I didn’t have much time to explore the property or the amenities, but the restaurant was really good. I would definitely come back.

This place was very clean and I loved that it had cabin vibes. They even left out some snacks for us to eat, that was pretty cool too!
