I could not have asked for a smoother buying experience. David kept me informed in a very timely fashion as my truck was ordered, built and shipped. The closing was quick and seamless in a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Nikki, Lauren and David made this a very stress free transaction, laid back small town atmosphere with better than big city pricing and service . Thank you

I can't say enough good things about my experience at the dealership! David was incredibly helpful making the process of getting my new car easy as possible! Great staff & customer service. It sounds cliché but they really are one of the best dealerships to work with. Whether you’re buying a new car or your current vehicle needs service. They are always helpful all the way around.I only wish they would have given me more for my trade in vehicle. It’s really not their fault though, “Nancy” was getting up there in age and mileage and she needed a new transmission. So i understand they can’t pay me for the sentimental value of “Nancy”. I just hope they fix her up and get her to a good home somewhere.

Marquette GMC is where I purchased my vehicle. Although my initial experience with my vehicle has been somewhat lackluster - the diligence by Nikki (General Manager) has been superior. Although I'm waiting on my issues to still be resolved - I finally feel like I'm being heard.

Liars. Cheats. Buyers beware! If you still want to buy a car from Marthaler after you read this review, bring your own mechanic to give it the once over before you give them a dime!I purchased a used car for my daughter just shy of a year ago. She’s a single mother of two, and her son has a rare genetic disorder which has left him disabled. I wanted to find her a reliable, safe car with a little cargo space for trips to medical appointments and therapy visits etc. I found a used Cadillac suv that fit the bill. The salesman disclosed that it needed a few repairs, but they would do the work for no further cost. I was satisfied with the offer and paid the $9000.00 plus dollars in cash. Fast forward one year - my how things have changed! My daughter brought the car in for service, where they informed her that it needed new tires, but, the frame was so rusted that it was no longer safe to drive and she probably should “scrap it”. What? Scrap it?!So, after she broke the news to me, I immediately made contact with one of the managers. He informed me that she had put several miles on it, and it had been a long winter with salty roads. This is why the frame is unsafe after one year. He pretty much told me it’s my fault for buying an older used car. And, if my daughter hadn’t driven it so much, and we hadn’t had such a long salty winter, it wouldn’t have rusted through. So, I’m to believe it was perfectly fine last June, but after one winter, it’s now in need of scrapping? Well, I think they knew the frame was marginal last year, and sold it to me anyway. I think they were more interested in making a buck than the safety of my daughter and her children. I admit I don’t know much about cars. And, maybe I was gullible for trusting these thieves when they said that the car would suit my needs and the needs of my daughter, and that it was inspected and safe. I doubt they’ll do anything to make us whole on this, but hopefully this review will warn off other buyers. And, thank god I was able to pay cash. Can you imagine having to continue making payments on a car that resides in the scrap yard?I am furious, but all I can hope for at this point, is that people will shy away from this business, and their questionable ethics.Update: we brought the car in for a second opinion. The mechanic assured us that there was no way the damage was from one winter, and that, in his opinion, there was no way the dealership wasn’t aware that the safety of the car was in question.- The saga continues…The sales manager never returned his calls, and the general manager did little to help us. We did receive $425.00 from the junk yard. So we only lost $9,575.00 dollars when we scrapped the car we only owned for 11 months.I’ll say it again, buyer beware. Shady dealings are afoot at Marquette GMC.

I emailed the dealership about a test drive to a Yukon Xl we saw on the lot and we’re interested in and was promptly responded too. I met with Brandee who was pleasant and friendly upon my arrival. I loved that she explained that the dealership gives best price possible to avoid haggling and the typical back and forth I’ve experienced in the past. She asked a few questions and found out I was eligible for supplier pricing through my employer which helped influence my decision purchasing something new due to the cost savings. She followed up, along with another person from the dealership for any questions which was nice and didn’t feel like pressure. Being able to put down money to think about it to hold the vehicle was helpful for our busy schedule and a big purchase. A lot could be done through email so that when we did decide to purchase it was quick and a lot had been already completed. The tour of the store was very impressive. The employees we all so friendly and present upon introductions. The finance person was also very friendly and explained warranty options well. Brandee was friendly and knowledgeable and got things done in a timely manner. It started as just a test drive but turned into a great car buying experience. Thank you! I love my vehicle!!!

Excellent Experience! The whole staff was always willing to work with me and answer any of my questions. The salesman, Kevin, took the time to make sure I was comfortable with every option on the vehicle before I left the lot.

I bought a car in January 2023 and was told in August 2023 that I needed a new head gasket. The estimate for this "service" is $4000. There was an oil change done between January and August and I was informed the coolant was good. The car was supposedly inspected and reconditioned for sale. This situation is outrageous!

Brandy was so helpful to us every time we talked. She kept me informed when the car I was looking for became available in Marquette. We could have had it sent to our local dealer here in Houghton, but Brandy made a positive impression from our calls and when my husband first stopped by down there, we decided to take the time to start and finish with Brandy. She was awesome and so was the entire team! I will always take the time to go to the Marquette GMC and work with brandy. She finance gal (forgot her name) she was very good and explained things well. We where 2 months into our 6 month tour with our half ton when we decided that we needed a 2500 for the mountains ahead, and Marquette GMC not only had the perfect truck in inventory ready to go for us, they were also quite possibly the best dealership experience I’ve ever had. They gave me a fair trade value without the games and were a pleasure to work with. Although I live in Florida, I just might continue to purchase all my trucks from them going forward.Major shout out to Cassie and David for being awesome!

My wife traveled to the area for a weeks long visit when her engine light came on shortly after arriving. It's a 2019 Blazer with less than 40,000 miles. I called the 2 Chevrolet dealerships in the area, for service. Both openings were 2-3 weeks out. My wife was very concerned with not being able to see her family, that's been long overdue. I sent a message expaining the situation and the circumstances through a chat service, after hour on a Friday night. Saturday morning I received a call from Tony, the sale manager at the dealership, I had messaged. Tony went out of his way to help with the situation and was very sympathetic to the circumstances. I applaud Tony for his efforts and thank him very much. Thanks a lot Tony!!!!

Work was done in a timely manner. But, the technician had not reset the oil or fuel filter percentage remaining indicators. I was able to rest the oil life remaining but not the fuel filter. Jon came out and reset the thing. As I was leaving, the tech who worked on my truck came out and apologized. I would recommend that all techs who have a problem with a task ask for help.
