Dune Town is the best! We love coming into Silver Lake and being right in the middle of the fun!

My family loves staying here! So many things for the kids to do and everything is within walking distance. Staff is always friendly. We love the large pool and how clean the park is. Cannot wait to come back again next year.

Beware be sure to read before selecting this campground! Very unusual rules enforced by very strict older staff. Who reads rules at a campground? I will start reading them from here on out at least for anywhere new that we camp. No riding bicycles after dark!? ( Never heard of this one before, we camp like 30 times a year) Must be inside your camping unit after 1 AM!! That’s correct there is a bedtime at Jellystone after you spend $500 or more to stay for the week..Definitely not America in Jelly stone park -Nope that’s not a quiet time, the quiet time is it 11 o’clock ( That one is a pretty normal rule for campgrounds… Oh, but quiet is if they can hear you from the road…..even a little) Oh by the way if your kids want to do some of the craft activities you have to pay for those too… Don’t go the wrong way down a one-way even if you’re close to the end of the street….Was yelled at multiple times by the staff who seemed to be on top of it every single time I went the wrong way to get out especially when there was some large camper parking down the correct way. For whatever reason this campground seems to think that they have their own special country there and can make the rules however they want. Of course they told us this after we had planned and paid into our trip already that “jellystone is not for everyone”. That was quoted by Mark the enforcer/security guard that spends his nights patrolling to see if he can hear anything other than the wind As he rudely interrupted maybe 15 of our conversations by his shush.

My husband and I have camped for 31 years. We have never encountered the staff rudeness and rigid check-in times we experienced this year at this campground. Our friends advised us our campsite had been vacated the day before we arrived. Yet, when we arrived at 1:30 on our day of check-in (a Monday), we were emphatically told we could not check in until 3:00 despite the fact a very significant storm was predicted to hit (and DID hit) just hours after our arrival at 1:30. I could understand not allowing early check-ins on a Friday or Saturday given those days are usually very busy. But a Monday afternoon? Totally ridiculous. With the many, many other camping options available in West Michigan that truly are "customer friendly,", we will be hard pressed to stay at this campground again.

Pros: close to all the activities for kids, close to ice cream shops etc..well shaded, pool is ok cons: wifi, we complained 2 times while we were there, it says it is excellent strength, but then something about the IP address, and no one would even begin to help. When I complained one of the girls upfront said "we really don't advertise the wifi" which is not true they do, and the second time another girl said "well it's working in the office", still no help... They have a lot of sites w/water and elect., very few w/sewer hook up, and they only have 1 dump station, which really causes back up and blocking other sites. They also tell you to go to the state park and dump....

We stayed at a premium site that backed up to all trees. It was large clean and beautiful. 193. The pool area was really nice both kiddie and big pool were large and clean. Everyday there was something fun for the kids to do. Crafts, movies, games and themed fun weekends for kids. The camp store (ranger station) was clean and well stocked. The staff working there was friendly and answered all my questions about things to do in the area. The campground was connected to Craig’s Cruisers. We all loved the rides, arcades and mini golf that was walking distance to our site. Yogi, Boo Boo and Cyndi were seen and hugged by our kids daily. That was a first for us and we loved it. Every morning there was hayride with the characters. The location is great. You are walking distance to the whole town. We stayed for over a week and the laundry room was very clean and maintained. We typically use the campground showers. The showers were gross. The drains were really bad and they definitely weren’t cleaned the entire time we were there. I don’t expect much from a campground bathroom but these showers really turned me off. Gross. There was a playground but the kids were bored of it after 5 minutes. It was meant for small toddlers. If your not staying in a premium site they really pack you in there and you have to be really good at backing your camper in a tight space. They do ask you to shut music off at 11 and in the camper by 1 am. I went to the car to grab something and they were there telling me to get inside like I was a small child. We did really like it here but a clean bathroom is a must for us and won’t be back for that reason. If you shower in your rv then you’ll be fine.
