I had one of the pedicures of my life here a few weeks ago. Just amazing and relaxing! It was so awesome I booked out a few appointments. I have also had a massage here which was fantastic.

I moved to East Lansing a year ago and quickly started asking around for the BEST hair salon and barber in the area….everyone I talked to suggested Douglas J.
I was the first in our family to try this place and upon entering I was immediately impressed with the establishment. The place is HUGE!! It probably has a minimum of 20 stylist chairs; it has a barbershop; and a med spa that does all sorts of stuff such as bleaching, waxing, skincare, Botox, hydration IV’s, etc.
I was in desperate need of a cut and color as my roots were almost three inches long. I gave my stylist a picture of what I wanted and she did her best at making it happen with just one visit!
My husband is very picky about his fades! He was heartbroken by having to leave his barber in Tennessee, but I scheduled him an appointment at their barbershop with Avery and to my delight, my husband was very pleased with his fade! He has already been back multiple times and has decided that this will be his new barber.
After both of our stamps of approval, our kids quickly became clients as well! They have four new customers for life at Douglas J Salon!
I haven’t purchased anything yet, but they also carry a huge selection of hair care products made by only the best in the business.
The prices are a little higher but like my grandpa always used to say…”You get what you pay for!!” So if you want the best expect the price to reflect the quality!

When you need to feel pampered, relaxed and great about yourself, go to Douglas J and ask for Ally or Belle. They took care of my wife and I with TLC and total professionalism. It could not have been a more perfect experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The inside is clean, calm and relaxing. Needless to say we recommend Douglas J completely as the place to return to over and over.

My partner gifted me a massage for my birthday. I am so glad I picked Courtney! She was amazing! I appreciated how she asked questions before we got started. I think she could tell I was a bit tense but she put me at ease and continued to emphasize that I deserved to relax. Thank you, Courtney!

Douglas J is simply the finest hair salon anywhere. For years I went there and then I left because of job conflicts. In retrospect, I should have left the job and not Douglas J! But I am back now, and thanks to Douglas Weaver’s foundation of service and style, my hair has recovered and is beautiful once again. My colorist, Beth, and stylist, Jenny, are wonderful. They reflect a team effort that is evident throughout the salon. My hair is in the best hands possible.

I recently had the pleasure of getting a haircut at Douglas J’s Okemos location and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Jason took the time to listen to my preferences and offered great suggestions that perfectly matched my style.
The haircut itself was fantastic! The attention to detail was evident, and I could tell that Jason is skilled and passionate about his craft. Jason worked with precision, and I left the salon feeling refreshed and confident with my new look.
