We are new to the area, not new to veterinarian's, or animal care. Albeit from another city in Michigan, we were unprepared for the exhorbatant prices, which really feel padded. Very first time we took one of our pets here was because we thought the price was so high at another local vet a year ago. We were assurred by the vet here at Haslett that "they are not like this". Since that very first encounter, it has been exactly as the first vet, feeling so ripped off and taken advantage of while our animals are needy. But today was the last straw - I needed Apoquel for my little Norwich Terrier. For 60 tabs, the price came to $144.90. When I asked exactly how much the medication was without tax, as an after thought I heard the gal say "Well with our $10 prescription filling fee"....I said your What?!?!? You seriously are going to charge me $10 to count out 60 pills and put them in this bottle? Uhm NO FLIPPIN WAY. I left the medication there. Because I just ordered it online for less than what you tried to charge me, and I'll have it here tomorrow. HOW DARE YOU PAD YOUR POCKETS at the expense of unsuspecting customers!!! Some customers may not be as anal as I am regarding their money, but I work too hard for my money to not know where every single cent goes. I will go where everyone is transparent. I will go where I have not lost trust in the veterianarians. The blatant padding for miniscual services that for years was included, now being disected so you can add on unfounded charges, still lining your pocket....that have historically been a part of an office exam for instance. So yes Haslett Animal Hospital, please keep on ripping off customers.....because you can. It reads and feels like Haslett Animal Hospital has found even more ways to USE our pandemic to keep lining their pocket. This part of your business feels very very undignified. Maybe I'm used to better customer service. Maybe I'm used to honesty. Maybe I'm used to transparency. Maybe I'm used to respect. Maaaayybeee I have trusted my former veterinarians because everything felt fair. I never felt dupped or ripped off. Maaaaybee if we all start demanding better, we will get better. If everyone just keeps on feeling that it's OK to get ripped off from your Veterinarian, and you feel its OK to just keep paying more, they will never ever change the way they are now doing business. As a former medical practice owner of 20 years, I wouldn't have ever DREAMT of ripping off a patient, the way you just tried to rip me off. SHAME ON YOU. I am hoping that you re-think some of these rip off policies, good paying customers need some integrity and transparency BEFORE you charge them!! Not after the fact....

We took our 6 year old bulldog into HAH because he was not doing well, loosing weight and falling over. Our previous vet closest apt. was 3 weeks out and HAH could get us in in 3 days. All the staff we encountered was kind, especially Dr. Fitzpatrick. She sent us home with different medication and made sure to call weekly to check up on him. Even when we brought our new puppy in, she made sure to ask about our bulldogs health. He sadly had lymphoma and we made the difficult decision to put him down. A week later, we had flowers at our door step from HAH. The sweetest staff ever, we won't be going anywhere else from now on.

This is nothing but a group of greedy veterinarian's. They only care about getting as many animals through as possible to charge extremely high rates. I had a situation today where my pet had an emergency and was not eating. Today is Thursday and they stated she could not be seen until Monday. Would it be considered caring for a pet not eating to schedule an appointment 4 days out. When you take on a patient you take on a responsibility to care for that patient when ill. They showed no concern what so ever to care for an animal under their care for 5 years. Do yourself a favor and avoid this vet office.

We have been going to Haslett Animal Hospital for at least 30 years. We have seen most of the vets who have practiced here and in Williamston. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding. They have gotten busier over time but I can't see taking our pets anywhere else. Our extended family has 6 dogs and 2 cats and we all use Haslett Animal Hospital.

Don't go. They service is terrible. We had to bring our dog back 3 times because the vet wanted more tests. I really mean they wanted our money. They scared my wife by tell her the dog may have cancer. She has no idea if that's true and blood work takes weeks from them. Which is stupid because I can get full blood work on me done in an hour. I understand that they may take a little more time, but this is going to be over a week. You'll wait in the waiting room, with only a few chairs because they don't follow the MI COVID guidelines. Be prepared to wait an hour for a scheduled appointment. They have never been on time with anything. No we will never go back after we receive the blood work results.

Every time, they have always treated us (My pet and myself) with dignity and respect. The doctors and staff both take time and explain what they were doing and why. They've are accurate in diagnosis with all of our pets. They are kind and caring and I would recommend them to anyone. *I moved three years ago to Livonia. I've tried several vets there and now I'm driving all the way back to Haslet. A few weeks ago I had to put my little old dog to sleep. They made the experience way better by going above and beyond with the way things were done. I would definitely recommend this veterinary clinic and any of it's doctors. They are all great. When you really have a pet you love and need to make sure they get the right treatment this is where you should take them.

Dr. Burmeister is my all-time favorite veterinarian: - She's personable but not afraid to tell it like it is - She puts the needs of the animal first and you learn to trust her guidance - She figured out what was wrong with a cat who'd had digestive problems for 7 years - When our cat got sick, we called her even though we'd moved away because we trusted her more than our new doc. She was willing to do a phone consult and asked me to follow up with her with how he was doing. She cares. The techs and office staff have also always been helpful and friendly.
