criminals and liars. our cresit card information was stolen instantly when we called their call center to pay for our reservation. we had to cancel that credit card because of the theft which canceled our reservation. We were told to rebook the reservation and they would honor the original price once contract was compleated since it was now double the first reservation. Once we completed our return I have called their over seas customer support center that has done nothing but lie. After 4 hours of phone calls to customer service I finally get someone that is willing to help me and open a case and return our funds. 15 days later and no refund. Now when I call they say they have no record of the case number and cant show any history of any agreement we had. You can never get past the first person that answers the phone because there is never a supervisor available. If you speak enough logic to them they will just hang up on you. So our experience with hertz has been full of criminals and liars with employees that have no employee I’d number and make up fake case numbers or just hang up on you. We are filing this with the better business bureau and our credit card company

Reservation at 9 am, showed up at 8:30 expecting to wait till 9 and was told I would have to wait till 9:30 for a car. After 50 minutes of waiting I watched her give my economy car to a friend who showed up, THEN suddenly she has a vehicle for me, one that was sitting in back since 8:30 am. Has the audacity to up-charge me for a large SUV when the rates are GUARANTEED ( I requested an economy car) when you make the online reservation. Discrimination is illegal, so is bait and switch. Beware when you go here as things are not what they should be and double check your receipt for fraudulent charges. 1 Star is two more than this place is worth. If you need to rent from Hertz go to the Airport, the prices are usually cheaper and the service is professional.

Waist of my time. No where on the website did it say the driver was the only one who could pay. I walked away without the car I was supposed to rent.

Don’t bother. Had a reservation and was dropped off here to pick up my vehicle only to find nobody there. I called the number it said to dial and the person said that they didn’t have any cars and that I should try Enterprise. So, tell me again what is the point of a reservation?

Searching for rentals at reasonable prices as well as the additional fees for being under the age of 25 this place seemed most ideal at first. After reading over the website over and over I decided to reserve a car for myself (because it is advertised to be the cheapest way) so that I may be able to take a short vacation and travel to see a friend. I’ve be planning this vacation for months but didn’t quite have the ability to take the time off until recently. On the day of the reservation I came in to find out the vehicle I was going to be paying for was still “dirty” so they planned to be giving me a different vehicle. It wasn’t until I got into their office that I find out about extra fees (the security deposit which I expected but couldn’t find online until after rigorous navigation of their policies and website) as well as an inability to use debit (there are qualifications I didn’t meet) even though there policy clearly stated they accepted both. After pleading with and trying everything I could possibly with the customer service representative (who seemed sympathetic verbally but through action showed she didn’t care in slightest provided no actual solutions. She did nothing suggested nothing that could help me but instead gave me deadlines as to what she could do while I, at this point, desperately tried to save my vacation) I ended up leaving the premises with no car and no solution had to reluctantly cancel my plans & reservations made months in advance because Hertz customer service is awful and their policies are misleading & hard to find. Hiring “friendly” people is different from hiring helpful people. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Very very disappointed, saddened, and dissatisfied. I will never recommend this company and I will definitely be sharing this lack luster experience with everyone.

I am under twenty five and have never had an issue renting a car through AVIS, Budget or Enterprise. I understand and am willing to pay the young driver surcharge. I decided to give Hertz a try, the website and the 1-800 number allowed me to make my reservation. To my surprise, 23 hours before I am supposed to pick the car up, JOE from Hertz in Okemos calls me. He tells me that I am unable to rent the car due to my age, he says the website and the 1-800 number are incorrect. I don't know who was incorrect, be it Joe or the website. Regardless, I'll be sticking with Enterprise until Hertz can figure out how to have the same information across the board.

Supposed to open at 8am. 8:30 on a Monday, line out the door, and no one knows when a worker will be here. Waste of time.

Despite the website and their phone service saying you can pay with a debit card, they wont rent to you if you dont have a credit card and wont work with you on getting your rental fee back.

Did not have my car there when I went to pick it up. Said I had to wait 2 hours or go to another location 30 minutes away to pick it up myself. Then before I could complain, started ignoring me and talking to people on the phone.

Absolutely NO signage. Unless you know it is located INSIDE the dealership...good luck finding it.
