I don't know what Rite Aid did so different, I never had to wait 1 hour in line to pick up my medicine from the pharmacy. Worst customer service, specially at the pharmacy.

They will tell you an Rx will be filled by a certain time and it never has been. I’ve had to come back 3 days in a row multiple times even though they promised it would be ready in an hour and somehow a day later it’s not ready. They claim to send pre-authorizations to the doctors office but the office never receives them. It seems to be one excuse after another. When confronted with these issues they simple said “I don’t know what to tell you”. Service was great until they took on all the Rite-aid customers. Now it’s literally a joke. The pharmacy staff is consistently rude and unprofessional. The store is great for merchandise but don’t use the pharmacy unless you are on medications that you can go without for days. They seem to have literally no concern if medication is life supporting or not. I’ve been going to Walgreens for years. But this has been an awful experience the past 6 months. We have since switched pharmacies and no longer have any of this issues…

Went in for a flu shot and COVID booster and the pharmacist was INCREDIBLY dismissive. He just abruptly told us he was too busy. No attempt to offer another time, no apology, just rude.

I just waited on hold for 35 minutes to check on my husband’s blood pressure medication and no one ever answered. The customer service at this Walgreens is horrible! We really miss Rite Aid!

I scheduled a rabies vaccine at this location 2 WEEKS prior to the appointment day (I am a vet student so the vaccine is required). Went in the day of after doing all the pre check in information and receiving confirmation emails about the appointment, arrived 15 minutes early and checked in, waited to my appointment time to be told they do not have the vaccine in stock and need to order it…. My appointment was not same day or last minute so I am confused as to why they did not order it I’m advance as the doctor told me it only takes 2 days to arrive.
Very disappointed. Luckily a different location was on it and got me in same day, even went over the co pay with me which the Okemos location did not disclose at all.

I had the worst experience at this pharmacy! I wish I could give them 0 stars. Do not go here to fill a prescription! They are rude and incompetent. One of the pharmacy technicians couldn’t figure out how to enter in the insurance information for my daughter’s prescription. She kept saying it was an insurance error and we needed to call our insurance company. We called the insurance company like she said and there wasn’t a problem with the insurance. The insurance agent even did a three way call with the pharmacy while I was on the phone and the pharmacy tech still couldn’t figure out how to enter in the information correctly. The insurance rep called back and spoke with a different person at the pharmacy and she couldn’t figure out how to do it either. After being on several calls with Walgreens and the insurance rep the rep advised me to take my prescription somewhere else. She said they clearly don’t want to help you and they are incompetent. What a waste of time! I will not go here again!

The service at the pharmacy is below poor, one star was generous. The employees are rude. I tried to call using the automated phone system. It was not set up for my situation. I called to talk to someone three times . I was on each call for a half hour. They would constantly pick up the phone and yell hold on. I hung up after no help in 30 minutes. It took 4 hours to fill my script. I was told they are very busy and take care of 4 pharmacies. HIRE MORE HELP! The new medication took 5 hours to fill.

It’s a Walgreens. They had a decent selection of items. Obviously it’s all over priced but that’s beside the point. I went twice and the first time I went the guy at the counter checking me out was amazing! Then went again and that guy was very transactional. Didn’t say much. He definitely needs help with his customer service side. Sorry to say this but when you have to interact with customers on a daily basis you need to learn to at least smile.

Joshua manager ignored customers and kept on doing his job. Asked me to go to one clerk working the whole store to do the job. Just wait.
