Stopped in to the auto zone store on Haley st.
In Midland to replace a battery the person that waited on me was so in experienced when hooking up the device to test the alternator and check the cells in the battery, he actually shorted the positive post of the battery to the frame and that stalled the car. When trying to hook up the jump box to restart the car he could not even get the clamps on the battery post correctly his boss had to come out and do it for him.( My guess is he's just there for a paycheck and that's the kind of people auto zone hires just a person to fill a position)
His boss wasn't interested in selling me a battery because of a support post that would have needed to be moved by removing two bolts and moved to the side.
I went across the street to advanced Auto and they were more than happy to move the post and replace the battery so advanced Auto is $275.00 richer than auto zone.
I've had some not so good experiences in the past with Auto zone and just sort of passed it off, BUT after yesterday's experience I'm done I'll never set foot in another auto zone store.

Horrible experience in there today. I was at the other autozone before going to this one needing calipers for my daughter's vehicle the one before said this one had them he called and had them put them on hold for me saying they had them . I went in the guy says what's in the box calipers for the core his response "oh didn't know what they were" I said need it for so and so vehicle front he said we have one I said again the other autozone called they were on hold he said again we only have one I said I need one for each side. He then says u don't need them both for the same side đ¤Śââď¸ no guy u don't put 2 on the same side do ya? He responds with idk I just work here. They need people that know parts that are going to be working in a parts store. I left with my old parts and will be going else where. He was not good at customer service also not friendly at all not impressed.

I came in to replace the clips that hold in my rear light housing on both sides. There was nothing in stock that was specifically for my Jeep Patriot. The manager (Melissa) came out and helped pull out one of the broken off clips so we could find the proper match. She then put them in for me. I couldnât thank her enough for her help! ?

Points system is ridiculous. They constantly mess it up and refuse to fix it even when they realize that it was there fault

Employee who âhelpedâ me was absolutely rude when I asked if they had hest turner knobs and said âwe donât get that here probably because of how old that stuff isâ problem is he said it with an absolutely rude attitude! And was rude all around

Always a pleasure using AutoZone. You can borrow tools when you need them. They always have what you need and if they don't they will get them. Prices are very reasonable on their parts to quality is great.
