I was very disappointed! I have 2 kiddos with food allergies and I wanted to take them out for ice cream and being very careful I read all the ingredients to these ice creams making sure my kiddos would be safe..there were 2 kinds my son could have safely! My youngest son was very sick afterwards! I talked to a worker finding out they dont wash the scoops in between ice cream. He apologized and to a point I understood but still thought that was kinda gross. He told me next time to give them the heads up on the allergy and they would wash or use a new scoop. We tried again and yet again my son was sick, this time I warned about the allergy. It was a different worker and she told me it would be better for my son not to eat there because they can't wash scoops when they are busy! I wanted to give my kids the experience of getting ice cream and both times my youngest walked away sick! We won't be back!

Honestly the only good thing about this place is the location. It's nice to get some ice cream while you are biking or walking on the rail trail. Portions are big and cheap but Hudsonville ice cream at Meijer is even cheaper, bigger, and tastes better. They use "Homemade" (yes, that's what it is really called) wholesale branded ice cream here which is pretty bad as far as wholesale ice cream goes. I find it to be less creamy and flavorful than retail ice creams. It is also more expensive than those. Service is okay, as the place is usually packed. Ambiance is pretty good but I'd never want to sit inside given the huge line. If I am going out to get ice cream, I'd like it to be a treat. My wallet and my taste buds would prefer a container of Hudsonville or Breyers. There are much better options in town (a grocery store, Great Lakes Ice Cream).

First time to visit this unique ice cream place. We were pleasantly surprised of how nice the setup is with having lots of room outside for enjoying the treats. Also, the interior is very clean and the service is great. The ice cream was very good as well (it was just right). Next time we are in town, we will visit the Cottage Creamery.

Loved the choices of hand dipped ice cream. Had to do 4 stars. Didn't like the person chewing gum with him mouth open over top the tubs of ice cream. Otherwise, great place for a hot afternoon break.

This was by far the best ice cream shop in Midland County. The choices of ice cream are amazing, along with their homemade waffle cones.
