Wonderful general store.
Proprietor was super helpful, and they had the food staples we needed.
And, they have maintained a wonderful slice of Americana history. Antique and fully functional century old cash register, Frigidaire beer cooler and more!
Highly recommended for what you need.

Great Store! It has a very old school vibe and I loved it. They have a little bit of everything. Had to stop and get fuel. They are cash only, which was alright. Ran down to the Cliff Bar and pulled cash out. Came back got fuel, a drink, and a snack. Thank you for the friendly service and conversation.

stopped in here trying to kill time on way to an appt. Ive been to plenty of little backroad general stores. this one was weird, they had almost no stock on shelfs, pop and candy was behind glass. and when I was paying the guy just stared at me like he wanted to wear my skin. then his creepy mom eye balled my girlfriend and me as we walked to my truck. I;ll drive farther to avoid these odd balls.

Great mom and pop shop that has gas too. Everything looks vintage (because it is) and it's really cool to see. I doubt you'll find such an old gas pump like the one they have. It was fun watching the rotating numbers.

You must take the time to stop in and say hello to Mrs. Peterson. You will not find any place more authentic that the Phoenix Store. One of the quiet gems of the Keweenaw.
