I’ve only been here twice, but each time has been amazing!! They had a haunted walks the 1st time, and that was so cool! My daughter loved every second of it! The last time, we went for the ghost hunting and it was so cool! I was able to talk to my grandma that had passed in 2019, and I got answers that only I would know! It truly was really amazing. And the owner, Nathan, is a fantastic guy! He truly brought so much more fun into Monroe!! Love this place!

This place is horrible only took 5min for me and my wife to go through total waste of $10. The owner seemed high and smelled like cheap weed and he acts like he's a big shot telling us everything he's involved with but his museum shows he's a wannabe lacking anything cool. Plenty of other death museums and attractions located in Michigan you can spend your money at other then the mess called The Michigan Museum of Horror. I've been following this guys oddities shows and tattoo conventions for awhile and they are always a last minute mess and afterthought with alot of the oddities community mocking him for being a wannabe in the community. I'm not the only one who feels this way just read the 1 star comments alot of people agree with me. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY

"Museum" is a stretch. A collection of curiosities, half of which come from Spirit Halloween. Some odd bits of junk for sale in plastic bins, and gory pictures with no relevant information or story to go with them. They do have a real skeleton, but you can see one of those for free (and in better condition) at the Monroe museum which is at most a 2 minute walk away. Also, music at such a deafening volume that my ears were ringing after leaving. If you've got 5 minutes to kill and $10 to waste then go on in, but otherwise, save yourself the trouble.

The museum itself lacks substance. The oddities are cool but there isn't much variety, nor is there any real guidance when viewing explaining what an object is, what year it is from, or why it is interesting. This museum is more reminiscent of a side show attraction than any real historical or educational museum. That being said, I am a huge fan of the events that are held here. I've been to both the Oddities Fair that was held off site and the Goth Night Before Christmas and both were awesome in their own way.In the future I hope this museum evolves to have more engaging and educational content rather than just a collection of interesting, macabre items and antiques.

This is the most exciting place Monroe Michigan has to offer. The hosts are beautiful humans and the displays are displayed with care. You can see the passion the hosts have in their work and what they do. We are handicapped and cant wait to be able to see the upper floor of the Museum. All good things are worth waiting for. I can see this couple going very far in this horror world!!!

The most unique museum in Michigan, if not the entire US! The Horror Museum has something for everyone. Horror movie items & posters decorate the black walls, but the REAL interesting things are the REAL items, such as human skulls, a human hand, human bones, an entire human skeleton, and preserved human & animal tissue samples, such as pieces of brain! There's a "Red Room", not for kids, that display actual crime scene and accident photos, for the more macabre amongst us, as well as a moderate but growing collection of serial killer memorabilia! Do yourself a favor, stop into the Michigan Museum of Horror, and return often as the enthusiastic owners are very prolific and are always striving to increase the Museum collections and displays, which includes things from Monroe and surrounding areas as well! They also host haunted ghost walks in the nicer months, giving you a true taste of the spooky! Obviously, the outshine everything done by anyone else during the month of October! Please stop in for a scary good time, it's awesome! If I haven't convinced you yet, stop in to hold "Jeremy"....a human skull that they will take out of its case and let you hold, examine, and take selfish with!! Enjoy!!

The collection of "oddities" was less than stimulating when I visited not long after it opened. Sadly, the selection has shrunk, along with any semblance of credibility or decency from rhe owner.Save your money to spend someplace that cares about the folks who make it go. If you can't afford to pay your people, you shouldn't be in business.

My friend and I are certified weirdos, but I guess we're just not this kind of weird. A LOT of human skeletons, etc. and that was kind of cool... But the red room was too much. How disrespectful to the people in those images. How can you even call that a museum when most of those images are available online? And there's no content warning with the 18+ section... I thought it was gonna be spooky sex stuff not literal mutilated corpses. Upstairs was incredibly lack luster. Very messy, not very much to look at, and there was a rotting deer head out in the open that looked as though it had literally been picked up off the side of the road. It wasn't blocked off by anything and was right and a height where a child could touch it, or even lick it if you had a strange enough kid. The museum had the potential to be cool, but really was not.

I had come across this place originally on Facebook and talking to a couple of people that like oddity museums (and this was right up mine and my wife's alley) so we took a day trip up to there. No wait to get in and there is (2 hr free parking) parking lot literally down the street from the entrance which that was cool! But going into the museum instantly drew to the framed specimens (picked up a butterfly and will DEFIANTLY be back for a bat) and cruising around the shop. It was cool to offered to hold a skull- my wife didn't want to do it but I was all for it! Loving the movie memorabilia, history on some of the most famous and infamous serial killers (The Red Room was so cool with the crime scene photos. You only ever hear about the crimes but never see the twisted side). There is so much more I wish I could comment the whole experience was amazing. Love seeing the updates to the museum and wanting to go back again. Love supporting small business especially those that are passionate about their work. Going to love to see what is to come in 2024!!
