I called this tax service to see if they had any openings and an older lady was very rude and disrespectful to me on the phone. I simply asked if there was any openings at the moment and was responded with a demeaning comment on how “if I would’ve called three weeks ago they would’ve fit me in but it’s way too late now.” This was not professional at all; a simple friendly “we are not accepting new clients at the moment” would’ve been appreciated.

Ruth has been doing my taxes for almost 25 years. SHE IS EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT, WONDERFUL, OUTSTANDING, UNDERSTANDING, KIND, AMAZINGLY COURTEOUS, EXTREMELY HUMOROUS. You know if you treat people well, they will usually treat you well back. Heck, all the ladies there are nice.Some of these negative reviews I read here, well, I just have to wonder. But don't be running Ruth down.SHE'S TERRIFIC!!!!!!. ( I don't know the other ladies as well, but I know folks who go to them & they love them - & they've always been as courteous as can be to me!)

Have been using Werstein tax for 20 years. Always get more back from federal tax return than what I figured on. Quick filings. Even though I moved to TN I send the taxes here to be filed. Honest and up to date on all the many tax law changes every year

Stay away! My mother used this service for a few years with no issue. This year, she received a letter from the IRS stating that there had been a mistake made from Werstein. I called on behalf of my mother and left voicemails for 4 days straight with no response. My mother finally drove to the business and knocked on the door because the business was supposed to be open until 6pm. No answer…she then saw a neighbor outside and the neighbor stated that the business should be open until 6pm. My mother knocked on the door again. This time Ruth, the homeowner answered the door and not only lied and said she did not receive my voicemails but also proceeded to cuss at my mother and them slammed the door in my mother’s face. I proceeded to file a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. I received Ruth’s response to the compliant and guess what? She lied in her response. Not only did they make a huge mistake with my mother’s taxes, but they were not willing to make it right. This behavior is disgusting and unacceptable. If you go here, you are dealing with unprofessional liars. Beware.

Werstein is the best tax place to have your taxes done. Rose has been doing ours for over 10 years and I know other people that's had theirs done for over 30 years at Westeins.

The last 2 years have been awful doing taxes. Jean refused to do our taxes due to not having "time to do them". Last year was she was out of the office. Nobody else will do your taxes in that office either.
