They do great work but are so horribly mismanaged I'm surprised they can function. They need some major changes.

I'm currently trying to get into MCREST. I've been there before and that place is AWESOME! When I was there the staff was incredible and if you did your part, then the staff would bend over backwards to help the client. Wish me luck trying to get in tomorrow morning.

Ok, do you want to get down knittt and gritty. I am so thankful for MCREST. They provided me with everything I needed, food, resources, water, a bed a place to call home. Is it an adjustment. Yes. Living with a million people and no bathroom time, but you have to remember you are are guest. You make arrangements, like I'll shower at night and stuff like that. But just get along with everyone and everyone is really cool., especially the staff. They are there to help you. Now I have my own apartment, job, car, and they even accommodated me with my broken leg. I am truly grateful.

Don't ever come to this dump between 12 and 2pm that's the staff's " yummy yummy lunch time" these giant beasts will not lift a finger until every last morsel of food is licked clean from the trough.

The owner of Mcrest and the manager Judy are ripping off the government. They kick people out of the program and keep collecting on them for months falsifying documents to the IRS. This has been going on for years. There needs to be an investigation and they will be audited soon. The owner and Judy should be led out of there in handcuffs and need to spend time in federal prison.

The homeless are a lot more inviting than a lot of people who are not. I wish them all the best in getting back on their feet. Hopefully, they don't have to work 3 jobs to do so.

This place is nasty and have COVID-19 in the building. They don’t test you coming in.My son have been sick three times with RSV. Then he was put out for me telling my roommate. The company only care about the funding not your wellbeing or health.

I called to donate 155 hand-made fleece scarves and 20 handmade fleece blankets to their shelter. I was told they weren't interested as they had no room to store them.I donated them to the Salvation Army, where they were graciously accepted and commented on how warm they were. Going forward, I will be donating to a place that actually has a need.

Kicks people out without a fair chance to explain themselves...they don't care about ppls situations and they most definitely don't view people's grievances forms and call them back even if they have proof of their innocence.....this place picks and chooses who to kick out and who can stay...... It's all about favoritism and the staff sides with the popular poor ppl in the shelter...theyre the only ones who gets to stay?✌?.....dont even waist your time at this discriminatory place.......they dont look at whos right, whos innocent or who's honest.....they're worried about whos being outnumbered✌?...... Ps... And the director still haven't call me back after filing a grievance - it's giving very dismissive/ignorant

Was a demoralizing and humiliating experience. There were some great churches to host however the problem lies with the staff. Ask a question and you'll get 5 different answers from 5 different people. PLEASE consider donating your hard earned money and supplies to another local homless charity--such as the Motor City Mitten Mission--that will actually use the supplies and not squander the money. Supplies donated are sifted through by staff and they get first pick. Then the donated items end up in a storage closet. Gas cards mysteriously go missing. Housing is given out only to people that will be "poster children" for the organization. Cameras and audio recording devices are EVERYWHERE throughout the ShelterYou have been warned....
