“Earlier this year, I walked into Shelby Family Pharmacy in search for the owner, to discuss transferring all of our prescriptions. We moved to Shelby in 2019, but I continued to drive to Clarkston for our scripts because of our relationship we had with that particular pharmacy. I'm not going to share our reason for switching pharmacies, but I will tell you that the drive, four plus times a month, had absolutely nothing to do with the switch. We prefer to deal with family owned companies. John, the owner and pharmacist, took great care of me in no time at all. Every time I call the pharmacy, I can feel the smile, just by the tone and kindness from whomever takes my call. Nowadays, most people don't give out their name when answering the phone. At Shelby Family Pharmacy, a first name is always provided to me, upon answering my call . (I was in retail for 35 years and we always answered the call and provided our first name. What's wrong with society today).
Today, you have to ask/beg for a name. I've had people tell me that I don't need it, because anyone can help me should I call back. Providing a first name makes the call more personable. In many cases, the establishment has all my information, and sometimes even my social security number. Why can't I get a first name? They might not want me to call back and ask for them. That might create more work for them.
Anyway, today, I walked in Shelby Family Pharmacy, and like every single time, I was immediately greeted. Today by Aya. Boy, cheers go out to her parents for raising such a beautiful and special lady. Always so helpful on the phone and in the store. I never feel like a burden here, like I do at other stores. Did I mention Alex? He was there today too. Same thing about him with his customer service and kindness. Aya and Alex could be brother and sister for all I know. I truly believe that this store is one of the last stores around that
treat you like family, hence the name? Short comment to John; I can tell by Aya's and Alex's attitudes and customer service that you treat them very well. But, if I owned a business right now, I would find a way to steal them from you today. LOL. Thank you all at Shelby Family Pharmacy for serving us and treating us like we are part of your family. “Had to come here to pickup a UPS package as there has been Porch pirates in the area. Meet Patel. Friendly guy, polite, professional. I had my package within a minute and signed and was on my way.They are a small pharmacy that has a niche in the neighborhood for those who don't want to deal with the big box pharmacies like Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens or Kroger. One can get in and out in no time and avoid the wait times. They carry a wide variety of pharmaceutical items, multivitamins, skin care products, blood pressure machines, etc. Call them for a full inventory of products.Plenty of parking, handicap parking. No public restrooms. Accepts cash, credit cards, debit cards. Call for what insurance companies they serviest. They are a UPS pickup location”

“Gas prices a lot less money than a local gas station for sure. They can change throughout the day. I had trouble figuring out how to use the app to pay. I had to get a physical Sam's club card and you put it in the slot for the credit card. Then after it tells you to take it out you put your credit card in to pay. There are a lot of lines. You must enter the line from the north side of the station”

“Ive been going to dollar mart for around 18 years. No matter what meds i get prescribed, they always either have it in stock or get it within 48 hours. I leave my dr appt and drive 2 miles to get there and wait no more than 5-10 mins for all of my monthly scripts to be filled and ready to go. As long as i live in macomb county, i will always get all my meds from them. At this point they have my refills all filled before i even call them in. Highly recommend Dollar Mart”
