New owners, new cooks. No longer black owned so you won’t be getting real soul food. Everything is nasty. Don’t even waste your time coming. Not even close to the same as the original owners.

Wasn’t good… expecting flavorful fried chicken and baked pork chops but was disappointed with unseasoned meats and the Mac n cheese was wayyyyy overdone… mushy and watery and then the greens were undercooked and not seasoned well enough… I won’t go back…sorry

The food is absolutely DEEE-licious! I haven't eaten everything on the menu, but the food overall is wonderful with nice portions too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys soul food. I just hope they don't change the chef/portion sizes like some restaurants do after they are open for awhile.

Queue Taps, what was once great is now gone. So sad. New ownership. The new owners have painted the interior entirely red which is so off putting, changed the menu, removed everything related to the old owners. Even the wall menu shown in previous review pictures is gone. No more fish. No more chicken. They said kitchen staff remained, but there’s no way they could be true.Messed up my order so badly. The new women up front were very apologetic, but I waited over a hour for my meal, the ribs were fatty, they were out onion rings, and they NO LONGER SERVE BBQ CHICKEN (not a joke) no white mean, dark meat, etc., only wings. Wings. Oh yeah, VZ the world needs more wings places.No cornbread provided with our meal.No fish on the menu anymore.They now serve the same, prepackaged banana pudding as Savvy sliders (which is nasty) peach cobbler was soggy, gross, and all sugar. Inedible. No more house made banana pudding. Mac and cheese was so dry, void of actual cheese, which actually explains why the noodles were crunchy.Oh, but you can now get shawarma. So there’s that. $67 wasted.Looking for a new BBQ place now

They are under new ownership and the food was disgusting honestly. The styrofoam my food came in was melted like it had been heated in a microwave, no flavor to the food but the meat was COLD but warm like it had been heated in a microwave as well! The Mac however was decent honestly. The peach cobbler was the worst! I waited over an hour to receive the food I called in for. I was informed someone would call me when my order was ready and didn’t receive a call until I CALLED to confirm if it’s ready! Placed on hold for almost 10 minutes. I definitely miss the old owners.

The Food was terrible (5 pcs fried chicken whole wing Combo)Chicken- Not seasoned at all and the chicken was very dark brown which means the grease was old (Should be Golden Brown)Mac and cheese - Not seasoned at ALL and had little to no cheese in itCandy Yams- Was not done, there should not be a crunch when you bite into YamsCornbread- …. The customer service was really bad. I don't know if the guy was on his period or hate women, but he was extremely rude and disrespectful towards my mother. Kept saying what they didn't have and what he wasn't going to do. The Man that worked Friday at 230 in the afternoon was the reason why we really considered Not picking up our food. I hate to talk bad about a Black owned business but this had to be said about the customer service this guy showed. Next time I'll keep my $36

I AM FROM DETROIT. And this food is pretty darn good. YAMS ARE EXCELLENT. AND CHICKEN WAS CRISPY AND TASTY. EVERYTHING IS MUCH BETTER THAN I IMAGINED. I WILL BE BACK

First time here on Sunday and let’s just say the owner is so pleasant and down to earth. But off the food!!!!! When we got home we couldn’t wait to eat! The ribs were amazing sauced well! Mac and cheese was delicious along with greens and yams and cornbread. My husband had a side of perch and he was so happy! But that peach cobbler- whew so so so good! This is a great soul food place and me and teh hubs yet wil be back soon! Thank u again and please everyone come out to support small business!

Everything was amazing!! The ribs and BBQ sauce are a must! Short ribs, collards, beans, potato salad and Mac and cheese were 10/10. Thanks for the amazing dinner!

In macomb County good soul food is very hard to come by but the rib ribs were very good , my kids loved them ! Sides were good as well , no hassle pick up as well .

The food and service is always outstanding, I wish they had a full open restaurant 5 days a week for the great food and professional way they do things mmmmmmmmmm good damn food ? ? ? ? ?
