About Island Park
Island Park is easily considered the best park in Mount Pleasant, with so much to do for anyone. It features a water park, skate park, baseball, basketball, tennis, horseshoes, and a play structure. There is a great walking path, wonderful trails to walk or run, and a scooter rental. The playground is noted as the best set in mid Michigan, with a separate structure for toddlers and plenty of swings. Visitors love the splash pad in the summer and note it is great for Pokémon Go. The park hosts a Farmer's Market and has nice, multiple picnic areas. Reviews mention classic park bathrooms that are wheelchair accessible, but also note they are sometimes trashed and can be quite far from the playground. It is a dog-friendly park with great walking paths.

This park is beautiful. A lot of room to run and play. A variety of new equipment. I wish we had something even close to this where we live in the Southwest.

Wonderful park with numerous activities available for all ages. Great path to walk around the park. Stop and stay at The Gingko Tree!

Great playground, plenty of pavilion space and parking. Restrooms and outside grills on site.
