Normally I love Meijer, but today I had a poor experience in self check out. Roughly 4 p.m I was getting last minute groceries before my son is due (it’s anytime now) and I had my toddler with me. I took one can of soup that was in the main part of the grocery cart and scanned it 6 times instead of reaching to the bottom of my cart where I put the extras I picked up as I was just stocking up due to the sale. A female employee approached me as I was paying, and gave me a hard time saying I was being “suspicious”, I explained I’m 39 weeks pregnant and didn’t feel like bending to pick them up and scan them individually when I’m trying to make it a quick trip. They were all the same brand, same soup, and all. She said she’d let it “slide” this time, but next time she was going to cancel my entire order and make me go to a cashier line so they could scan my items for me if I had an issue bending to pick items up. Definitely not what I was expecting as I shop at meijer for all my essentials, groceries, and more.

I have never been treated more disrespectful in my life I never thought I would have to deal with this I always come to Meijer and to be treated with such disrespect by this lady with short red hair how disgusting that she could be disgusting towards an elder how rude I will never come back to this gas station

What I dont reccomend: trying to find my items online. Finding empty shelves so frequently. Not being able to use the scan for shopping at all times. Tonight I scanned my items but all checkouts for scanning were closed. I had to stand in 2 lines after that. when I got a cashier in the 2nd line I was directed to, I had to wait for her to re-scan my items (defeats the purpose) and bag them. Only one of my Mperks was an option instead of the three I could use on my phone, so I paid more to wait in a line. I thought I'd never do this, but Walmart has better services and supply.

I really appreciate the pickup/delivery people who actually gather the orders and deliver them, but I got charged $4.95 last night for a delivery today that was over $35. I still got charged full for the order. Meijer offers free delivery through Jan. 29 for orders over $35. The delivery person can't change this - I have to work through Meijer and have contacted customer service - not heard. Shipt shouldn't be charging extra for something Meijer is offering free.
