It took awhile to figure out how to not make this sound too hammy. It was great, I was treated as a person and not just a number. Jim was very thorough and informative, letting me know of any other issues that he came across. A man of integrity, he made sure to set my worries to rest by showing me the issues even without me having to ask. 10/10 will be back for any other repairs.

Went in to get my dust cover bent back because my dad forgot to do it when he replaced my axel and wheel bearing. went to belle tire to see if they could just bend it back (since it take like 2 seconds and doesn’t require a lift of anything) and they said it would take a few hours because they were busy and said to come back tomorrow morning and they had no idea how much it’d be. I went across the street and Jim did it right away FOR FREE! He was so nice and told me to come back any time for anything I need. I would definitely recommend!!

I called around to a few places in Mount Pleasant they gave me the best estimate for my rotors! Good price, for good quality work. You can tell that these are genuine hard workers here, that aren’t looking for money but looking to provide quality service! I’m glad to say I’ve found a good spot in Mount Pleasant.

If you ever need some work done, come see Jim he'll get you set up with no bullshit. I go here every time I've got issue with my car, and dude has me quoted with no nonsense added, tells me if there's anything that I'll need to work on soon, and how soon it'll be. And he gets the job done quick and right

Needed my brakes done on my vehicle urgently due to having an appointment in Ann Arbor. Called around no one could help me without waiting till later in the afternoon or next week. Called here to Frakes, spoke with Jim, and he got me in immediately. Took him about an hour and a half to do my car. Very friendly and honest with me. If I need repairs again, I will definitely be going back here.

Being someone that knows absolutely nothing about cars, I can be at ease knowing that my car is being taken care of here with the right price as well. Jim is so kind and helpful, making sure I understand what’s wrong with my car/what I’m paying for. I’m so thankful to have a mechanic near by that I can trust, I recommend Frakes to anyone experiencing car issues!

Jim not only saved my car but he saved my bank account too! My car needed major work done and when I had it appraised at another shop, their quote was over $1,500 more than my final cost at Frake’s. Not only that, but Jim ended up catching even more issues than I had originally known about, so I was able to get twice the repairs done and STILL saved thousands. Plus, Jim was able to get all the work done in a matter of two days- I thought it would be a week at minimum! I couldn’t believe how much better my car felt when I drove it home, I didn’t even know it could run that well. Jim, you are a lifesaver and I can’t thank you enough! This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at an auto shop, and as someone who doesn’t know a thing about cars, it meant a lot to me that I was so well taken care of here. I can’t recommend Frake’s enough - the work is better and more affordable, Jim is absolutely amazing, and they’re super quick with everything they do. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!
