I contacted them for a local move. They showed up on time and did a good job getting everything done. They contacted me after the move to make sure it went well which I thought was nice. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys for doing a job I am too lazy to do!!

We called the day before we arrived, and they were able to book us for the next day. Justin and his team came out to help us move and did a great job even with several very heavy objects! I would recommend and use them again.

Not the smoothest moving company to work with. First it started with poor communication. They refused to respond via email even though I explained I was overseas and it was the only way to communicate. I asked for confirmation that they received the address and the again confirming the move days before. I finally called 2 days before and they had me down. If they hadn't I would have been in trouble. It would have relieved a lot of stress had they responded to emails.The one mover whined a lot. Yes, it was hot. Yes, there was a lot of stuff (I packed the trailer myself. I was well aware). He also complained about his boss, Jay, and told the other mover that he had told him off and seemed to be quite proud. He made a huge sigh every time he dropped stuff off in the apartment. It was annoying.Lastly, the bill. Unexpected costs of travel. The quote from Jay did not mention there would be transportation frees. On the day of, I was told by Jay they were only 15 minutes away and was charged for 30. This was an extra $80.They sent a nice thank you card and asked me to leave a review.

Jay moved us from Mt. Pleasant to Rogers City in 2011 and we were very pleased with how they handled that move. We again used his company when we moved from RogersCity to North Aurora, IL in July 2023. He once again made this move go very smoothly. We highly recommend using his moving company!

I really don’t understand my experience with SSS. They did a walk through estimate. I asked a few questions by email. Responses were delayed and curt. I agreed to estimate by email and waited 36 hours for acknowledgement. Crickets. Sent a second email and no response. I decided this was a bad sign and moved on.

Boss was not there when I was supposed to show on my first day. He showed hour later then he told me to be there and the employees that were there ignored me.

My items were in storage at Sowle Mayflower for 10 years. When I asked for my items to be delivered, that's when the problems started. The company (1) had no accounting of how many crates held my items, (2) failed to credit my account for hundreds of dollars of payments, (3) delivered the wrong items to my home, and (4) put off searching for my missing items for six months. When they needed time to address the issue, I was patient and offered to help in the search to retrieve my items. This is when the tide turned and I was met with accusatory, aggressive, and belittling remarks by the owner. The pinnacle of his unconscionable behavior was his attempt to gaslight me by stating I had not paid my bill and telling me that I don't remember my missing items. If providing bank records - that show uncredited payments were made - won't snap a business back into professional, cordial tact - the value of the company is a big fat zero.

Sidney Sowle & Son made our move so easy! They had our 3 bedroom home safely packed on the truck, moved, unpacked, and reassembled as was needed in minimal time. Thomas and Austin were so thoughtful in their care for our pieces with special attention to breakables and our family heirlooms and laid protection on the floors to protect from damage and wetness from the rain. They have our highest recommendations!

I tried calling Sidney Sowle & Sons regarding a previous review. I spoke with Jay, who did not want to discuss it and dismissed my concerns. I didn’t realize he is the owner. When I asked who I could call back and talk to, he told me they weren’t even open yet and hung up on me. Based on my first experience and now my recent experience, I do not recommend them at all
