Seen a billboard and decided to try it and couldn't be happier!! Located in a nice downtown setting and the building having a charming character and then the inside provided an enjoyable atmosphere with the exposed brick, trim work and variety of lights. The service was quick friendly and informative with suggestions. The food was packed with flavor and filling. Can't wait to visit again!!

Didn't have a reservation but got lucky that a table for two was available in the dining room. Better than sitting in the bar, but can't believe they let a bunch of high school girls reserve most of the dining room for homecoming. Not at these outrageous prices. Do you think adding $5 to every item makes you fancy?Pasta capellini was in a huge pasta bowl you didn't fill, then gave me 4 ounces of beef tenderloin on top and called it flank steak. Wife's walleye was battered in flour. Not sure why you described it as Macadamia encrusted? Did you puree the nuts?Bread bowl cost $3. Ice tea 2.75.Why mess up excellent sweet potato fries with tasteless crab(?) just so you can charge $12?Customers wear T-shirts, leather vests over mock turtlenecks, beach shirts with shorts. You will never be Embers. Make the place a brewpub and sports bar.

We really wanted to like this place! It was recommended to us by my fiancé's brother and we really tried. Our waitress was missing in action through most of the meal. The group next to us was loud, unruly and undeterred by any of the staff. I ordered the pictured chicken Cesar and it was disappointing: the chicken was dry and tasteless. My fiancé received alleged homemade ketchup w/ his fries... made in the Heinz factory. His steak sandwich was overpriced, overcooked and rubbery. The overall decor was run down. If you get a chance to stop by this place, run to the next restaurant. $70 for a sad salad and overcooked steak on toasted bread.

If this place is what constitutes as fine dining in Mount pleasant then I will pass 10 out of 10 times. This is the most expensive meal that I have ever not enjoyed in my entire life.My wife and I ordered all relatively simple things. Two dinner sized Caesar salads with grilled chicken, angel hair pasta for my one child and a burger for my other child with fries. I also ordered the lobster bisque.I never knew romaine lettuce could get so bitter. I never knew a chicken breast could be so dry on a salad. I had no idea that you could burn a burger to this level and it still counts as being edible. I've never had a worse lobster bisque anywhere. I'm certain that Long John silver's given the opportunity, would knock it out of the park.Luckily, for my children, they eat just about anything so they weren't too disappointed, however. As an adult that spent almost $70 for my family to eat out, I was livid. The following morning we went to The Diner on the outskirts of town and it was delicious.I will never eat at this place again. This was the worst and most expensive meal that I've ever eaten in my entire life.Did I mention that my wife and I never finished our meals? Also, she decided that Subway was a better option after dinner.?

Food and service were excellent. Had the Orange Glazed Salmon off the list of specials and was very happy with the choice.

Dated atmosphere out of the 80s, and a very limited and expensive menu. They even charge $3 for a little basket of 5 small slices of bread...which should be complementary. If you like your food salty, expensive and encrusted with coffee, peppercorns, or macadamia nuts then maybe this is the place for you. Otherwise, plenty of better options in town.

Great experience all around. The wine list was substantial and well thought out, and the food was good as well. Service at the bar was also excellent from the bartender, Lex.

We were in town for a concert and walked in to have dinner. First, the restaurant was very busy and we did not have reservations. The hostess was extremely nice and found a way to seat us. Our server's name was Ellie, she did a great job and was very nice as well. The food was very good. Had oysters and their signature deviled eggs as appetizers. The had a seared scallop special that was excellent. One of the better meals we have had out recently.

Hands down the best restaurant in downtown Mt. Pleasant. The food is amazing and the staff is great. The salmon, the filet, the deviled eggs, bread and Caribbean rum cake were all delightful! I've never had anything that wasn't great here.

solid old school-ish place with good food. Amazing staff from hostess to bartender to server. Cannot say enough about their charm and attentiveness. Many restaurants seem to be struggling with talent during these pandemic times, but not this place. Nice cocktail and wine menu. The bartender Brandy was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a duck and a pasta dish, both great. Can't go wrong with this place. And as a Chicagoan, I am pretty particular.

First time for us at The Brass. The food was good and our service was excellent. The wedge salad could if used more blue cheese dressing. A small point but the rest of our meal great.

The restaurant smelled moldy inside. The food was over priced with very small portions. Would not recommend.

Great experience. Service was fast and friendly. Good selection of Michigan craft beers. Outdoor seating was comfortable. There are umbrellas at every table. Waitress heard us discuss splitting a couple items. Came plated separately. Had wedge salad with grilled chicken and a burger with fries. Burger, chicken, and bun were actually grilled and so tasty. Fries were handcut and also delicious.
