I dropped off 4 pieces of equipment with GLWP. I had a rider, a snowblower and a push mower all repaired. My request was that they be worked on so they are ready to go for the winter/spring. The snowblower didn't make it through the winter before it stopped throwing snow. The rider has had one problem after another since spring. I'm not impressed. If reliability was not a reasonable request with the older equipment I brought, I would've preferred he not encourage a repair and I would've taken the money to buy something new. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I have heard many negative things about this place but I love it. The people are very nice and honest. Their products are priced very well and are top notch quality.

Mediocre service. Will not sell a chainsaw carburetor adjustment tool. This is a good example of why Amazon is taking over the world.

I bought a lawn mower from them in 2016. The mower started chugging this year so I had them look at it & tune it up. They did a tune up & changed blade. They did not fix the chugging problem. The lady on the phone when i called to tell them it still isn't working properly, was not very helpful. She said it worked great when it was here. He had it running for 20 min. no problems. I asked if he tried to cut any grass with it and she laughed & said I don't think you would have liked the bill if he did that. I then called a local person who fixes lawn mowers & he picked it up the same day i called & removed & cleaned the carb and fixed the handle & cleaned the entire mower. He returned it to me the next day with only a $40 bill. I will not do business with Great Lakes Wood Products as she made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about and belittled me

Not sure how you leave a negative review for this place. Family owned, and they stand behind every product they sell. I have used them dozens of times for new equipment.

Horrible experience ordered a part and when it came in they ordered the wrong one girl at the counter offered to give me the part out of one of the stock tractors after waiting two weeks for the wrong one to come in and the owner said no even though it was Friday and the tractor would not have sold over the weekend. Look online before ordering parts from them lesson learned

The woman behind the counter is condescending...rude. The others are fine.

There are some jobs better left to the pros. Small engine repair with GL Wood is definitely one of those. Super easy to work with and very reasonable, these folks get it done right and free up your time for other projects!

Older woman behind counter can be very rude- when purchasing from there, she can be very nice, but if you ask any questions or ask about a part they don't carry, she's very rude and laughs at you. Will no longer be buying parts there because of her; would rather order online and wait...
