Enjoyed the salad, prime rib sandwich and walleye. Everything was well prepared, fresh and attractively presented. Next time I might ask them to leave off the generous paprika coating on the top of the fish.Prime Rib is king here, and based on our visit you will not be disappointed. We were both very full but looked over the deserts. Chose a key lime to go as it was billed as house made. We were thrilled with it.Enjoyed a variety of holiday concoctions. Would recommend the special old fashioned with the chocolate covered orange slice.

Very bad experience for Thanksgiving dinner. They were out of everything, poor quality food. Stuffing was inedible. Desserts were store bought. Sooooo disappointing.….@69 per person it’s highway robbery.

I came here with a friend for the Thanksgiving buffet. What a huge disappointment! We had reservations in my friend's name, which is Hispanic. There were plenty of empty tables when we arrived, but we were placed at a small two-top in a back corner next to a wall. In fact, other two-two tables were substantially larger than ours. There was barely room to lift my arm to eat without bumping the wall. Apparently there is an ethnic bias here, as the rest of the guests were pretty vanilla and none of them were crammed up against the wall in a corner. The interior decor looks like it hasn't been updated since they opened in the 70's and it definitely needs more than just a coat of paint. The salad was a bag of iceberg lettuce and a bag of spinach mixed together. You could add a couple of grape tomatoes and a slice of cucumber. That's it. The broccoli soup had the consistency and saltiness of a condensed can of soup that wasn't properly diluted. The dressing was clearly out of the same bag that you get at the local grocer. The turkey was simply the roll of turkey breast with the strange casing, not skin. The gravy had clearly come out of a can or a jar and the ham was so salty neither of us could eat it. The rolls were such a pale color that they looked like the type you buy and bake at home--which they apparently were but someone forgot to actually bake and brown them. The "corn casserole" was just cornbread from a mix that had corn added to it. There were various cookies arranged on a platter that all had the exact same size. Clearly not baked in house. The crime is that they charged $69.00 per person and beverages such as a glass of soda were not included. Then they added a mandatory tip on top of that! It was a ridiculous amount to pay for a meal where nothing was actually cooked from scratch. We would have been better off sticking with the snacks we had in our room at a nearby inn. We definitely won't be back.

Skip's, a decades old gastronomic favorite tradition, looms like a temple of indulgence for the famished and the brave. This isn't a restaurant; it's a feast for the senses, a Dionysian celebration of excess where the portions are as generous as the tales of a seasoned fisherman. The prime rib, oh the prime rib! It's not just meat; it's a carnivorous epiphany, cooked to such perfection it could make a grown man weep with joy. Each bite, a transcendental experience, a journey to the zenith of beef mastery.Servers glide through the chaos with the grace of ballet dancers, their politeness a soothing balm in the frenetic temple of feasting, guiding you through a culinary odyssey.Pricey? Sure, in the same way that a Picasso is just a painting. But worth every penny? Absolutely. It's like investing in a stock that only goes up.In the grand casino of dining, Skip's is the high roller's table, where the stakes are high, and the rewards are unparalleled. Dining here isn't just eating; it's an act of hedonistic rebellion against the ordinary, a plunge into a world where flavor reigns supreme.

Lobster and prime rib are good. Steaks are bad quality and flavorless. No marbling in Ribeye. Fries are flavorless. Terrible value overall.

Over priced, cold fish. Automatic 20% tip is obnoxious. High prices, slow service. Sub par food. 74.97 for fish and Alfredo pasta and a FORCED tip. Won't be back.

So its 7:00 on a Sunday night and my wife and I have finally arrived at our B&B. Starving, we scour for places that are still open. We find Skip’s. Ok…lets give it a shot. This place is a hidden gem! One of the best steaks we’ve had in quite a while. Kayla was serving us and couldn’t have been better. Its just low key great food. We ended up sitting with the owner and staff having after dinner drinks.

Get the prime rib! We were a group of 23 and our server was incredibly on top of it. The food was terrific and we all loved the experience.
