About Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail Park
Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail Park is a great paved trail for biking and walking. The trail provides lots of tree cover and shade on hot days. It is flat and level, following an old railroad grade with moderate elevation changes. The total distance is 20 miles from Hart to Montague, or 10 miles from Hart to New Era, making for a 20 or 40-mile round trip. It takes riders through cherry orchards, apple orchards, cornfields, asparagus fields, and small towns. The trail is very nice and not too busy. It is good for a regular bike or an electric bike. Along the trail there are park benches and nice shaded picnic tables scattered. There is a good small playground and very clean restrooms. The trail is dog-friendly with pup bags provided. The halfway point in New Era is a great place to stop for lunch. The trails are kept very nice and everyone who bikes should try this trail.
