So disappointing to be treated this way after so many years of loyalty to Lowe’s New Hudson
- my carpet in from Lowe’s
- my bathrooms remodels at Lowe’s
- my garden furniture is from Lowe’s
- my appliances are from Lowe’s
- our grill is from Lowe’s
- our flowers, paint, tools ……
We decided to change our blinds and of course went to Lowe’s, the ordering day was very smooth, Sharon at the home decor department was very nice and helpful, we started with the living room and kitchen 2000 worth blinds placed on April 11, the installer came on May 19 and installed them
- 1 large blind was damaged
- 2 kitchen blinds not working
- living room blinds installed one is working and one does not go all the way.
Basically nothing works.
The installer sent a claim to Lowe’s and left all the boxes in the garage. the boxes are in my garage and the damaged blinds still installed until July 8.
In the meantime time went to Lowe’s four times then I sat with Sharon and we worked on a new quote , I did upgrade my blinds and added an additional 450$ to my initial order. And that was on My 22nd
Since then, I am not able to get my blinds picked up or my new order placed, I kept calling and visiting the store and they kept telling me that they will take care of it tomorrow…..
After two months of waiting I called customer service and asked for a refund . They scheduled the pick up , took a day off, the crew came and they said that they can’t pick up because they are installed ( so they did not know?????)
I call again and I beg them to come take the blinds, all I wanted in my money back… silence for a week then the installer showed up on July 8 and picked up the blinds.
The same day I received a refund minus 370$ , some kind of fees they charged me for not doing their job
So basically, I pay , I got delivered damaged blinds, I wait …… then I beg and ask for refund and I ALSO PAY THEIR MEDIOCRE CUSTOMER SERVICE FEE.
They probably don’t care otherwise they would have handled much better .
I guess I lost 370$ ( some kind of fees they charged ) but they lost a loyal customer for sure.
Be careful where you go for your home projects. NOT LOWES NEW HUDSON FOR SURE.

Not going to be coming here anymore. Don’t feel welcome. Employees complain in your presence while doing their job or have private conversation to deter you from bothering them or at best they will ignore you and pretend you don’t exist or walk away when you are looking for help.
Lowes recently modified their return policy - no receipt, over certain time with receipt no refund or exchange.
When big box stores started putting mom and pop local hardware stores out of business this is what the old timers warned us about. They were right.

Everyone in the store was super friendly and helpful! Pat very patiently helped me choose the appropriate toilet, loaded it up and made sure I had everything I needed to go with it. Brandon saw us walking up to checkout and immediately offer his assistance to get it in our vehicle. Elizabeth was the lovely lady that kindly checked us out. This was over all a great experience! Highly recommend.
