The pump said I paid $30 and received 7.4 gallons of gas, however, my car said I only had 3 gallons left. So I went to the manager of the station, and informed him of this discrepancy. He told me that the “machines never lie”. I told him my car is a machine as well, and I can show him that my gas tank is showing 3 gallons. He responded “I don’t want to”, and told me there’s nothing he can do. When I realized that this guy simply doesn’t care at all, I asked to speak with the owner. The owner told me to drive around to see if my gas meter updates properly. So I drove around for a couple minutes, and came back because it didn’t update to 7+ gallons.I told the rude manager again, and he told me there’s nothing he can do. I saw live footage of the gas station on one of the TVs there, so I told him to check the cameras so he will believe that I pumped my gas with the same car, and that I couldn’t have expended 80+ miles of gas in the last 5 mins, he said the cameras “don’t work”. I asked to speak to the owner again and he said no, and walked away.Whether I’m right or wrong to ask for a refund, I don’t really care. The way this manager treated me was extremely disrespectful. All he needed to do was atleast act like he cares, but he couldn’t even do that. He showed no effort at all, and acted like I was an annoying mosquito. He was extremely unreasonable, and should never be managing anything again. Give someone else a chance to do this job, and I assure you, they will do a much better job than this float.
