This facility wants money first, then you can see it and rent it. I wanted to rent a unit I have been on a list for over several months. I can't sign until Friday, and haven't seen the unit and they will not rent to me unless I pay for everyday from now until the day I come to look and sign. Man on phone says the owner has strict rules. They charge $3.22 per day on a 28 day scale no matter how many days are in the month if you don't pay the whole monthly rate. So even though they received a full months rent from the past renter they want to charge me for the week up to Nov 1st. When I asked to see the contract before signing and paying, the manager said he now refuses to rent to me. He also said they have a requirement of 30 day notice, which means they should have know about this opening for at least 30 days but they are calling folks on this waiting list with the ultimatum of sign now, pay now, or nevermind. Not sure about this place, if they are this shady on the phone, how are they as owners? Do they have insurance on their property? Is our property safe? I am surprised people can still do business this way these days. I am happy they are refusing to rent to me. Helps me realize that the price was too good to be true.
