This credit union recently changed its name and that is probably good. They need to get rid of Debra also. She is the very reason why I am leaving this bank. Rude, does not listen, and very very short tempered.

Called to have a representative call me back so could pay my truck loan and no one called back. I also called 3 times waited 15 mins on each call and no one answered. If only I could get my truck refinanced somewhere else I would do it cause I’m pretty sure other banks would care about their customers a lot better then Everwise credit union. Every branch can’t answer the phone and only way to get service is by going into building in person. Very poor customer service.

I had been a customer of Teachers Credit Union (TCU) for almost 10 years before they were bought out/started calling themselves Everwise a couple months ago. 3 times (during 2016-2018) TCU turned my debit card off while I was on vacation twice and once when I was in my home area of Michiana. To say that I was angry is a huge understatement. It should absolutely be ILLEGAL for any banking institution to take away my access to MY MONEY UNLESS THEY HAVE CLEAR PROOF OF ONGOING FRAUD AGAINST MY ACCOUNT!Well, this past weekend it happened again!I was at home trying to buy something for $22 from the JC Penny website and TCU/Neverwise turned off my card WITHOUT MY KNOWING IT!The transaction was blocked BUT I DIDN'T KNOW MY CARD HAD BEEN COMPLETELY TURNED OFF!!!Imagine my anger and embarrassment when I was in a restaurant the next day AND I COULDN'T PAY FOR MY MEAL BECAUSE MY CARD WAS DECLINED!!! I immediately called TCU/Neverwise and went nuclear on them. The person tried to explain that they have "security algorithms and metrics" that flag some transactions as suspicious. The more she talked the madder I got!I told her DON'T EVER TURN MY CARD OFF WITHOUT CALLING ME FIRST AND CHECKING WITH ME TO SEE IF IN FACT THERE IS A PROBLEM!So, a WARNING FOR ANY PRESENT OR POTENTIAL TCU/Neverwise customers, they have a PROVEN HISTORY of turning off peoples cards and denying customers access TO THEIR OWN MONEY!!!

Work banking experience yet.I recently moved to this area and chose to open an account with TCU. I'm going to choose a different local bank or credit union and transfer my business there.1.) I've waited over a month for my debit card. I'm told that it's on back order and on the way, but unsure when I will get it.2.) When I messaged the online customer service through the app, they said to ask my local bank for an instant atm card. This was not mentioned to me when I went into the branch and spoke with customer service. All they told me was what I mentioned above.3.) No one ever answers the phone. This is why I had to go in an ask about my card in person.4.) I waited for 20 minutes in line. There were two tellers. When one was done with the customer in front of me, I walked up and the teller rudely told me I'd have to wait for the other teller.5.) They do not allow instant transfers through Venmo.

Very bad service from Deborah Stilp!! I opened an account with them today and she left the room so she could get some paperwork. She gave me instructions saying "click all the yellow squares" to sign some necessary paperwork to reopen my account. Then she left to get what she needed. While she was gone i did as i was told and clicked the squares all the way thru. She came back and said "FRIEND, did we not follow instructions here guy or what?" I was confused at first but then she said after several awkward minutes of her trying to make me feel d*** or like i did something wrong, she said "well it was at the screen where it was when it starts so i didn't think it went through." Throughout the entire interview process she made it clear in the way she addressed me and the tone in hey voice that she felt like i was d*** or needed extra assistance. Im far from d*** and just wanted to open a bank account. After she got the confirmation that it went thru and it was her mistake she still didnt apologize. She just said yup were all good. I juat waned to tell everyone how i was treated by Deborah Stilp because she showed me how horrible some people when they judge a book by its cover. Just because i wear baggy clothes and smoke marijuana doesn't make me less than any other normal person, and that's exactly how i was made to feel today.

TCU has switched to a new "online banking system". The switch for all customers is mandatory. Well, I switched and now I cannot access Bill Pay. I can log in and access all other accounts but not Bill Pay. Every thing worked before the switch to the "New and Improved" system, but now can't access Bill Pay" This is now day 3 and I have reached out to have this problem solved but have been put off. They say it's on my end. Wanted to talk to Tech Support, but they say there is no Tech Support. Are you kidding, no Tech Support for a bank? Also, the new system looks like it was designed for kids; lots of pictures and less information.8/24/22: After writing the above review, a person from TCU reached out to me. He was very kind and listened to my concern. We spent some time talking and working through my issue. He seemed to be a 2nd/preferred level of tech support that I needed to solve my issue. Thank you TCU. My hope in you has been restored.

Waited in line for over half an hour it was completely ridiculous! Cars leaving left and right. The teller was there all by herself with no help completely unprofessional.

Never answers the phone when you need information. Why have a phone if you can't be reached?

I have been with TCU over a year, I check my accounts every day and I found a weird transaction so I called the TCU, they took a look at it and said let us research it and get right back with you, within an hour it was resolved, for such a small amount that is great service especially given the time of the Covid19 pandemic. Another item I wish to point out, I keep money in my savings even if it only gets a very small amount of interest, (like most institution's) one time I didn't have enough money in my checking and they took it from my savings which was the I wanted it set up for me in the beginning, and if there no money in savings then from CC, to see a 2$ charge for the whole amount that needed to be transferred (not a charge for each item) was such ease on my mind. Even in the age of technology and we all know it costs the institution's nothing to do this, it is way better than Notre Dame Federal Credit Union as some other's charge you $36, now I think it's $32 per item to add to the billions and trillions of dollars to maybe their endowment fund I suppose, I only say this because I get really sick to know that when I hear that a day or year worth of interest could go to helping out South Bend considerably, don't you think Notre Dame would want a better city for their students? Institutions are now being sued for overcharging customer's for large charges to customer's account, I can only hope NDFCU is part of it, causing harm to already low-income people (accounts) is not helping anybody but NDFCU and why would you want to hurt people right where it matters for a lot of people in South Bend IN, money is a huge issue? I was charged over 150$ it was like they would charge you for over-drafting on overdraft charges it was crazy and I had to fight like hell to get most of the charges taken off, and that in itself tell you a lot about a banking institution.

Truly appalling service and even more concerning levels of poor organization from this company. I have been absolutely floored by the incompetence and inconsideration this company has exemplified. My husband's dilemma was a direct mistake of TCU and took initial effort, not of the company, but of the customer, to complain on social media to get any recognition. This completely unnecessary debacle had to be dealt with by a 28 year old son grieving the sudden death of his father. You should be totally ashamed. TCU transferred the loan amount of Nathan's deceased father's car into Nathan's name, but not the title, so Nathan owed TCU money, but couldn't drive the car. TCU f***** up this painful process so bad, a TCU agent had to physically go INTO a BMV branch to explain how they messed up so badly in order to get the title in Nathan's name. It took him complaining on FB to even get attention to the issue. He spent probably two months just being transferred around the company and being hung up on. So they took forever to finally get the title registered in his name (literal months) and the car just sat there and couldn't be driven. Since the car sat for so long, it has all these issues now and they refuse to give him any kind of compensation for repairs. No, I'm sorry, they offered him $200, which is a slap in the face.
