As a local, I sometimes frequent "Bells of Christmas" for their delicious cookies and fresh produce. However since my last visit in August, I won't ever come back because I was overcharged for my purchases. The produce didn't taste good either and I was treated like it was a big favor to be waited on. Also cookies now are filled with way too much sugar.

I personally know Jim Bell, the owner and I believe that he is the 3rd generation beginning with making Christmas wreaths and I have never seen one that has better craftsmanship than Jim’s!! He and his family are doing a fantastic job of building his business into a year around venture of Organic Vegetables, and too many quality items to mention. Please stop by his roadside store and take a tour with Jim as he has many interesting facts as his family has been grown and raised for generations and he is a very interesting Man to speak with.

Well I have to say a friend gave me a tomato from here. It brought back memories of how tomatoes used to taste! So delicious, we have a cottage in Sutton’s bay and I will definitely be stopping by. She said the prices are better than the farmers market also. A bonus!

Stopped to pick up some awesome homemade lemon and peanut butter cookies. Gorgeous bibb lettuce! What a sweet little spot just north of Northport.

The greenery offered here is beautiful! A nice variety of greens and they offer white tipped pine cones or natural. You may select the color of ribbon for wreaths which come in different sizes. They ship anywhere in the country, and the wreaths arrive smelling fresh and always are beautiful. They will cut roping & finish ends to your specifications. I am very pleased with the service and product they create.

Prior to moving to SW Florida we visited the store almost annually for at least 10 years. The quality is excellent and pricing very reasonable. I have done mail order for many years and was never disappointed.

The Bells have been making wreaths and roping for several generations....their products are superb. And because the greens are cut locally and right before being used, their products stay fresh looking for a long time.

My husband and I stumbled on this lovely establishment last fall when traveling in the area. I ordered a wreath and swag for my home to display at Christmas when we returned home. No fuss order and shipping. Beautiful. Well made. And lasted a long time with a delightful evergreen smell. Getting ready to order again!! A family business that I am pleased to support from South Carolina.

I called them up today to order wreaths for my 15 sales reps. I told them the name of the company I was with and they must have thought I was a telemarketer or something. I am located in Traverse City which is about 30 min south of them....I will go out of my way to do business with someone else now. I cannot believe with how the economy is today how business owners treat potential customers. Well great job Bells of Christmas...you pushed me away and my order would have been around $1200. Good luck staying open - you will need it!

Bell's grows the best sweet corn you will ever have. Ever. Forget the butter and salt, because you won't need them. Just boil it and eat it. Of course, the corn isn't the only good thing here. The rest of their fruits and vegetables are good, too. The selection is obviously limited to what's in season. They also have pies from Grand Traverse Pie Co., plus various jams and jellies and maple syrup. You can also come to Bell's any time of year to reinforce your supply of Christmas lights and decorations. Or, pick up a used paperback or puzzle for cheap (or trade in your old, unwanted ones).
