The Barn in Northville is a real barn with two floors of antiques, knick knacks, and old stuff. It is its own niche, not a typical thrift store. The entrance is extremely picturesque and hints at the funky items inside, from ceramic plant holders to unique finds like a car door. Prices are quite reasonable and sometimes lower than expected. The vibe is good, and they have many stencils for making signs. It is well worth a visit, as you just might find that special, useful item.
