I love the kitsch of this place. I walked in and there was this ceramic toaster that was the cutest thing, I swear to God, my heart absolutely melted. It's like you're in between a café and a farm kitchen, and I adore that. The colors are warm and friendly and the staff is inviting. It feels magical in its own way. I can see why they moved locations into the bigger building. That whole area has got some interesting business development recently, and this is one of the "newer" businesses over here. The food isn't 100 percent, but they definitely cater to vegetarian lifestyle easily. My mom is celiac and likes their gluten free bread a lot.I think it's possible to do vegan, but there's nothing specifically vegan on the menu, which always kinds of bums me out cause you either have to compromise or make some kind of weird concoction from the menu. It's like that, you know? They do have oatmeal, which, ok, I guess you could do that vegan, I suppose. I'm not a big oatmeal person though. Maybe I'm just lacking imagination and complaining too much. They seemed pretty catering from what it seemed.I chose the French toast and hash browns the last time I was there, and it was extremely filling. They give you a lot of food.Would definitely eat there again though if for nothing else than the coffee (good solid coffee which the waitress keeps filled), the atmosphere, and the ability to ease into your morning with a full belly.Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options, but they're not labeled as such.

Toast and Jams is by far my favorite breakfast spot in Muskegon. The atmosphere is unique, the food is always fantastic and the prices are reasonable (especially the kids meals). All of the waitresses we’ve had have been great, but the last couple of visits we’ve been lucky enough to be waited on by Megan, who is extraordinary! I’d highly recommend Toast and Jams!

I enjoy coming here for their strawberry cheesecake pancakes, sadly I will not be returning anytime soon. Today, Easter Sunday, me, my wife and my children decided to dine here. When we arrived, it was 15 minutes before us or any other customer was greeted, the manager, an older lady with a pink shirt and pigtails, walked past all of us customers at least 5 times and just gave us all dirty looks. When we began ordering our food, Becca our waitress, cut my wife off while she was in the middle of ordering our sons food, to tell us what order to place our order in, clockwise around the table, because “it’s easier for me,” then when we got our food not only was my wife and sons order incorrect, but Becca handed us out our food incorrectly.. I understand that it’s Easter, but we’re paying customers of an establishment that relies heavily on tips. It’s not our fault that you work here, and if the food industry is too much to handle, there are plenty of jobs out there that pay better and don’t require you to deal with customers. To the manager, a smile and some communication would be nice, “Hello I will be with you in just one moment,” every single customer, at least 10 people felt your energy, we seen you giving us dirty looks and turning your back to us. And to Becca, allow your customers to order their food in whatever order is easiest for them, we had 3 children with us, if you would’ve allowed my wife to order, our food wouldn’t have gotten messed up. We weren’t even offered anything to drink besides water and coffee.
