Had them do a stage 2 on my 2015 911 turbo. Exhaust, intercoolers, cpu upgrade and intake. Did a perfect job at a great price!! They also did shocks and breaks on my Autobiography Range Rover for half the price of the dealership. Dave was great to work with!!

I want to extend my highest praise to Jeff and staff. My 1976 Porsche had an issue that was identified in Illinois. I routinely took my 1976 Porsche to Automotive Techniques, but now I live in Illinois. We were delighted with the service we received. They stand behind their work and handled the situation professionally and courtously. My car is running beautifully. Jeff has an appreciation for classic and vintage autos.

Call them made an appointment. Brought The Porsche in for service. Had a radiator leak. They recommended other services. Had a check engine light on. Told them to repair whatever the engine light was and all the extras that they say needed repair. Received the car back totally fixed with all the other added extras. Remind you the radiator cost was more expensive than the dealer. Check engine light was still on. the interior Of the car had oil all over the carpet or grease. The seats had some sticky residue on them on the driver side. Tried to clean it. I called them and they said bring it back in. After spending nearly $3000 i’m not sure what all the extra was. Car was dirty and engine light was still on. Call them to make another appointment to bring it back and they said it would be a couple of weeks. I took the car in and had the carpet cleaned and the seats. $420 cost. Ended up taking the car to another Mechanic shop and fix the car correctly. No more engine light on. Will never go back to this place again.

Without any dispute Jeff J and David D are dependable, honest, and provide tangible results that are always independently priced compared to dealerships who all use the same pricing data.

David the manager took care of my vehicle and SAVED ME A TON! A turbo hose that the BMW dealership wanted to charge me outrageously for, David had replaced for a FRACTION of the cost and QUICKLY! He was very honest and communicated through the whole process. The invoice was even less then the estimate, because the part cost less then expected, you just don't find integrity like that now a days! You do NOT have to accept the dealerships inflated costs in order to receive EXCELLENT customer service and good, even BETTER auto repair service on your vehicle, from people who know European Vehicles! They have earned my business and I highly recommend Automotive Techniques. THANK-YOU again David & staff for all your help!

The best place to take your Porsche (I had a 2013 Porsche Diesel)... really the best local shop you can trust! The team is honest, easy to work with, you'll feel comfortable asking questions, transparent pricing, quick service.

It's my opinion that this shop is not trustworthy. I brought my car here on recommendation from a close friend. I needed annual service, spark plugs, and a serpentine belt. It took several weeks just to get an appointment and they took almost a month to complete these simple repairs. When I picked up the vehicle I didn't make it 2 miles from the shop and the car overheated. Turns out the serpentine belt was not installed correctly and the car overheated. Almost 4 months later I received an email from Dave the manager stating my car was ready and that he had forgotten about it. The icing on the cake is they billed me $400 to fix their mistake. Check their reviews on other sites it appears that have a track record of incompetence and poor service.

I have a 1977 Porsche. Scoured through many recommendations and shops finally choosing to try this one. Best decision I could have made. All you have todo is drop the car off, let them know what is needed ,have some patience and they will take it from there. Prices are fair, work is solid, communication is good. This is my shop from now on.Services: General repairs & maintenance

There's a lot of mechanics who are just parts replacers. I've had my fair share of bad experiences with mechanics who will just throw parts at the car charging you parts and labour till the problem is fixed. This wasn't the case with Automotive Techniques. They were able to accurately diagnose my car and accommodate me into their schedule. They communicated well and quickly. I'm usually weary of trusting mechanics due to past experiences, but I will definitely be using Autmotive Techniques again. Seems they are usually busy though so maybe adding to the roster of skilled technicians would give more people the opportunity to benefit from them :)Services: Auto engine diagnostic

I have an Audi and needed to get a few things addressed awhile back and I found Automotive Techniques. I can’t say enough good things about this shop. Dave’s (the owner) pricing is good, he doesn’t sell you what you don’t need and he does a helluva job. I haven’t and wouldn’t consider taking my car to another shop.Services: Oil change

Update to 10/18/20 review. Bit long ago to recall all the sordid details. Didn't see the response until today. Bottom line was the Crank Position Sensor was bad. News flash for Automotive Techniques, it DOESN'T throw a code. . Old fashioned expertise is required to diagnosis. Swapping out parts per thrown code would have done nothing but drained my wallet and not fixed the problem, which was random stalling. It was fixed by a competent shop an acquaintance referred me to. Incidentally, they had tried and quit Automotive Techniques as well.
