Roz and her husband were super awesome to meet! Our first time there with our high energy puppy to try the lure course and he loved the run, loved them and we both loved the experience!?

The owner is nice, a little odd, but none of the training materials seem to be original. Training isn’t very hands on. Very weird policies. She requires you to attend an almost 2 hour meeting to tell you about her experience and gives you a folder of materials and things to buy. After this, there are no refunds allowed which doesn’t truly allow you to see if her class is a good fit. The class is also up a massive flight of steep, narrow stairs which is not ideal for a growing puppy. The classes run on a rotating schedule so it doesn’t build upon skills, it jumps around, we started on week 3 or 4 which is very odd. Overall it is very unorganized and we would not recommend at least for basic training.

Alright,so I called Roz,two months ago, about my 16 mo th old Pit mix,he was very reactive towards other dogs and people, she referred me to Nate Kali, and now after 2 mo ths of working with Nate, our Opie is a very happy dog,he loves other dogs,he doesn't react negatively with people, and Opie walks/ runs next to our bikes, which he would never do ,but with Nates help ,Opie loves that.So if you have a Reactive dog, call My hero Dog training, and ask for Nate Kali, you will not be disappointed.

We have really enjoyed our time at my hero - after a poor experience with another facility we decided to give it another go. Roz has a quirky but effective teaching style. In the beginning each class started with teaching a new trick, which lightened the mood and gave everyone some fun homework. The dogs start running sequences and seeing the obstacles first class. Moving on to handling class the focus is moved to the human at the end of the leash and Roz clearly points out mistakes and helps us fix them. We can't wait to continue training!

I have been a professional pet dog trainer for 20 years. And this is where I go as a student for agility (and hoping to expand to other sports soon). I also refer my own puppy students to Roz. We have a lack of classes for dogs lately, I am so thankful My Hero offers them!!

Roz is magic! She is an excellent teacher and motivator. My border collie (and I!!!) have learned so much since we started Puppy class and can’t wait to move on to more advanced obedience, tricks, agility, and more!!!!

We were amazed at the difference in our puppy from week to week. The homework, though, is really important! My Hero will give you all the tools you need to enjoy your time with your new family member. But, they’re just that. Really valuable tools that work. We found that once we actually knew what to do, spending just 10-15 minutes a day practicing was a game changer. Our puppy became more reliable (not just doing it when she felt like it), better behaved and helped us to not be so frustrated. Roz was great at providing information about dogs and training that helped us to be more patient too. I’d highly recommend this training!

I have taken my dog Oakley here for two classes and have learned plenty of helpful tips and tricks from both Roz the owner and Dawn a trainer. This is the perfect place for force free training and while also having fun. Oakley loves going to class and learning new tricks. That alone is rewarding for me. We plan on attending more classes in the near future! ?

Dawn was a fantastic trainer. I have a timid dog and she never gave up on him no matter how scared he was or how "small" his accomplishments were. She's enthusiastic and a natural - as one man in class said "Even your voice was meant for you to be a trainer!"Tito walked away with a bit more self confidence and gets SO HAPPY and PROUD when he shows off the tricks he learned when we're at home!!

We love Roz! She really knows her stuff. Great facility both indoors and outdoors. Our border collie absolutely loves agility!!! She also helps you teach your dog new obedience tricks, and helped us get our dog certified as a Canine Good Citizen as well as a Novice and Intermediate trick dog (currently working on Advanced)! Roz truly loves dogs and is a wealth of knowledge!

I love this place! I have taken classes from Roz. Started with puppy class, then agility and it is so much fun. I have also taken nosework class with Nancy. My dog loves that too. What's more fun than using your nose the way it was intended to be used -- searching first for treats then learning to search for special scents like birch and anise? We love it. Also, everyone who teaches at My Hero is kind. They use only positive methods and apply them to both the dog and their human. My dogs know when it is their "school" day. They get excited and can't wait to get to class!!!

I enrolled my dog to agility training there. My dog is excited and playful and my hope was to focus his energy in agility training. I booked a 60 minutes class but unfortunately my dog was eventually on the obstacles for 10 minutes. The other 50 minutes dog owners and dogs had to listen to Roz. My dog got so excited in this permanent waiting situation that I had to fight with him all class. And when he finally could run over the obstacles he was so relieved that he run out of the course and into the other waiting dogs. Roz´s solution to calm my dog was to fix his leash on his private parts. Seriously. When I were a dog trainer my solution would have been to keep my dog busy during class on the obstacles. I was very disappointed about this agility training. And when she called me to inform me that another dog owner claimed about my excited dog I decided to cancel the training. It was an easy decision. My conclusion is that a dog trainer should be able to make the class flexible for different dog breeds and temperaments. I am not sure if Roz is really interested in the dogs in her classes, or if she is only interested in the easy to handle dogs. Or if she can train dogs at all.

Sometimes you cannot have the relationship you always wanted with your dog. I want to cuddle and hug my dog. He does not like cuddles or hugs. :’(

Roz Granitz is a wonderful, positive reinforcement trainer. Highly recommend for Puppy Training and for Agility training.
