I’ve had this bank for a few years and they’re fine unless you need to DO anything. Would be find for a senior with minimal banking or for a loan. If everything is automatic, you’re fine.. but their staff is older and not very tech savvy. They get easily confused. They recently made about a $2000 mistake for us, which as a family of four during covid, waiting on that money is hard. If you deposit cash their times are never as posted usually 3-4 days and if you are processing anything online, bills or debits there is a lag as well about a 2-4 days. Any direct deposits or checks take forever. And this was all pre covid as well. I’ve had crazy accusations made against me by the Vice President saying I was abusing her staff because I needed these mistakes fixed and no one wanted to take responsibility or give me any legitimate information. They just got defensive when we realized something wasn’t right. We normally deposit all of our checks on the mobile app because of the issues with the staff not being very knowledgeable or quick but not long ago we put one into their ITM machine. I’ve deposited checks with my married and maiden last name as well as checks for my husband and child on the mobile app for years without issue but because we turned it into them they got confused, wouldn’t accept it AND wouldn’t return it, they told me I would have to have another one written out to me !! Yikes. Even though it’s always been done rather than taking accountability and fixing it they just refused it. The lady even laughed when I told her my grandma had dementia and wrote the wrong last name. Second major issue we had lately was with our 2nd stimulus check. A while back I wasn’t using my savings account enough I guess so they closed it without warning before or notification after. I had all of my tax info set up with this savings account and for 2 years of filing taxes and 1 stimulus in April they had directed payments into the checking account that was left and never told me there was an issue. Any numbers that were changed were never changed with me, they told me I told the IRS my “net teller ID” instead of my account number, but I don’t even know what the net teller ID is, this is something THEY use for people within the bank. After not accepting that I was not the one that changed this information one of their crazed staff members told me the “feds” did it and it’s illegal and all these ridiculous things, when I looked up what she said she started making other things up telling me “they” said they couldn’t accept them anymore and laws changed and all this other nonsense. Still in shock. Any real bank would NOT have time for this. They call me SO many times on a regular basis I don’t have time for it, I had to have a note added to my account for them not to call me!!! There was also a “list” of other accounts that were affected by their stimulus being sent back because of this net teller ID issue so it definitely isn’t just mine check if you haven’t gotten yours. I’ve fixed my issue and contacted the news but hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Stay away from small banks !
