Wow! He’s never there during posted hours and then when I finally reach him he sells me a empty cartridge and tells me about his posted hours. Has never answered phone and once again not in during regular hours. From other reviews sounds like he’s a real crook. Go buy new! This guy should NOT be in business!

Wow! How does this guy pay rent?! He's never in firing posted hours doesn't answer phone and sold me a empty cartridge. Crook? Probably! Needs to be out of business. Don't go here. Ever! Not gonna even bother to attempt to return a fourth time after reading reviews. POS!

Brian Tallon was the sales rep. I spoke with. He had given me an initial quote and was double the price on the invoice provided. When asked, he states that he would never give that quote and it is a non-refundable order. Beware.

I gave the owner, Brian, over $100 upfront for a repair he didn’t do, and he refused to give me my money back. He, his family and business consultants also wrote at least half of the 5-star reviews here as of today, too. This place is terrible, be warned! I brought my printer to be fixed. I gave him over $100 upfront, in good faith, towards the part and repair. Then I never heard from him again. I finally called to see what was going on a couple weeks later, at which point he told me that he couldn’t and wouldn’t try to do the repair. (I had already paid him separately to diagnose it.) I was busy, but I went a couple times to try to pick it up. Whenever I went, the store was closed. No hours are posted on the door, either. So I finally made it today to pick up my printer. The owner looked at me with a bit of fear and stress in his face, and told me that instead of giving me store credit(!), he would give me two ink cartridges. I said, I don’t want ink cartridges, I would like a refund! He said that it had been too long, so that he would not give me a refund. I told him that he had never informed me when I should pick my printer up either verbally or in writing. I also said that he never even posted his hours on the door. Yes, it took me a while to pick this up, but not that long. This is fraud. I gave him money upfront for *parts never delivered and services never rendered*. That was clearly a mistake on my part. I said, you know, I could take you to small claims court. He replied, go ahead! I suspect he might have a number of judgments against him. I accepted two ink cartridges from him because I knew I would never see anything else from him. Instead of gaining a customer and referrals, he just lost one. As I said to him, he won this battle, but at the cost of a customer and a bad Google review. This is not how to build a business. I understand that the pandemic has been very hard on people financially, but essentially forcing your customers to buy ink cartridges they don’t want to buy is a terrible business practice. The owner is eating his seed corn to pay his family’s bills each month. I will never go back there again, and if anyone ever asks me to recommend a place for ink cartridges or printer repair, I will be sure to advise them never to go there either. From reading other peoples’ reviews, I suspect that some portion of the ink cartridges he sells are dry or nearly so, and you should not count on getting a refund ever for anything, or even getting the products you paid for. I don’t think his business is going to last very long at this rate. It looks like they also previously had a Cartridge World business in Lansing, and that business had similar problems, too. Oh, and 4 of the 5-star reviews here as of today are actually by the owners, Brian Tallon and Lina Tallon, and a relative, Alyssa Tallon. Lina and Alyssa Talon also wrote 3 of the 7 total 5-star reviews of their Lansing store, which closed with a final rating of 2.9 stars. I have to wonder whether some of the other 5-star reviews are fake. “Mark Smith” has only written two reviews, for Cartridge World in Okemos and in Lansing. He has only contributed one picture, and that is of Cartridge World in Lansing. There are also 3 5-star reviews by de Guzman and probably a relative; he has a media consulting business, not a print shop, so I bet those and possibly others were paid for. Be warned.

My elderly mother purchased new hp ink cartridges from this location. When she got home, opened them and tried using them they didn't work. She returned to the store where the cartridges were then weighed and the owner told her they were empty. When she requested a refund since the cartridges were purchased at their store they said they could do anything because it was hp that made the mistake. They then tried to convince my mother to buy one of the refurbished printers they sell in the store telling. Very disappointed in this fraudulent dealing, especially with an elderly woman. We will never return to this store.

The man in the store told me that their cartridges would work for my printer. They did not work. When I took the cartridges back to get a refund, he had me fill out paper work and said that they would mail me the refund. I took photos of the paper work, receipts, the cartridges that I was returning and enough of the store to prove that I should get a refund. I never got the refund in the mail. I called and talked to a "manager", she asked for a text of the photos and said that she would look into it. Later, she texted back that the man would send me a check. It has been two months and I have never gotten a refund. I will not use their business again.

I had used Cartridge World when they were on the west side several times and they were pretty good. Since they moved to Okemos, I had my cartridges refilled once and it went fine. This last time I rode all the way out there to get only 2 of the cartridges I pre-paid for and was told about 5 times the other 2 would be dropped off. But this never happened. It would have been nice if he would have least offered to refund the money I paid! I just ordered from Best Buy!

Before the shut down in March I bought 2 cartridges, one black, one color. Tried to use them, they were no good. Ink was dried out. Shut down happened within that week. I didn't try to go back to fix the issue. This was the 2nd time in the last year with this company that this has happened. Buying from another company from then on.

Horrible customer service. Couldn't even get answers to simple questions like their hours, or why the official Cartridge World website says there is a Lansing location when there isn't. Guy on the phone was of zero help and didn't even TRY to answer my questions. Frustrating and was really hoping to give your company a try, after the horrible reviews I read, the wasted trip, and that phone conversation? I'm not even gonna give it a try.

I had an ink cartridge delivered to my home for my office printer and printed 3 pages and my printer is alerting me that my ink is low. I called Cartridge World and they want me to come to them to see what they can do instead of sending me an actual usable ink cartridge that I have ALREADY PAID FOR! Will not be a returning customer.

This is too high a rating, This man ( Brian ) is a crook !!! Still waiting for my refund. Has been 5 weeks , he keeps telling me it is on its way. The last conversation, he needs my address. Now I have already given it to him 4 times ( shows you he had no intention of sending it or he would have kept it). After asking several times , he says to come to the store and pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and I go to the store, it is closed. I texted him and he says he forgot. ( obviously avoiding me). Gave him an ultimatum and he says he will send the check but he needs my address ( which I have already given him). Or I can stop by the store, but call before you come ( obviously so he can not be there). This man is a thief . I have sent a email to his Corporate Office , and I will take him to court if I don't get my money.!! Anyone that has any grievance with him concerning this matter please contact me.

Horrible owner! The man refuses to give any refunds if your cartridge doesn’t work!!! He only wants to give in store credit. What the hell is that good for? I am thankful for Christina for helping me even though I couldn’t get my refund. She’s a wonderful hard worker. I appreciate her helping me. I’m only 5 starring it for Christina.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The owner of this business does not follow the return policy as posted in the store or on the corporate website. I tried to return a cartridge that was faulty, it threw an error on our plotter. The really nice lady working said the owner no longer does returns. I asked to speak with him and he offered to get me another cartridge. Too late we already have the cartridge we need, which I told Brian the owner. He said the cartridge is ours and no refund. The return policy is attached. Long story short they sell you cartridges that don't work and you can't return. Money grubbing thieves.
