By far one of the best nail salons and spa in the Lansing area I've been to for 15 years and my mom for 30 years. They look out not only for your nails well being and presentation, but your own mental and emotional well-being. They're so down to earth, talented, and understanding of your needs and life situations. I've been taken care of here alone by all the nail techs here and they are all so sweet and gifted in their craft. They take sanitation very seriously as well as their work, which is good to know especially after dealing with COVID cases. They keep things orderly, professional and safe. Thank you Kim's Nails 2 for all the services you do for Lansings women, men and children❤️

I came here looking for a new salon in the area and just coming in I had a bad feeling. First, when you come in you get slapped with their policies. Policies are not the end of the world but in this salon the policies are not policies but more like warnings. For example, if you leave the salon and your nail breaks, falls off, you get greenies, chips the next or same day they don't even fix it. In other words, they don't guarantee their work. This is in comparison to my previous salon in which they would repair your nails if something happened to them up to 7 days after the service.Second, the salon doesn't look well organized and clean. I would say it looks raggedy. Michigan requires that dip powder needs to be discarded after each use. Dipping everybody's fingers in the powder jar is unsanitary. The way around this would be to have two small containers. In one goes the small amount of powder the other is empty. You put your finger over the empty cup dust the nail with the powder. The empty cup catches left over dust then you switch cups and so on. At the end there is going to be little to no powder left over and can be discarded.Third, They have some polishes on shelves but you can't see their dip powder color selection. When I asked to see the colors they asked what type of color I wanted. I said blue (because they did not gave me options and I felt rushed), and they provided a ring of blues. I would rather come early ( which I always do) and browse their entire selection. This is a small nitpick, but every salon I've been in since I was 15 showcased all their colors. For more information about Michigan requirements and warnings about Dip powder infections just do a little research key words: warning-nail-dip-powder-can-cause-infections

Worst nail salon experience I have ever had.I went in with a fill appointment and told the artist I would like French tips. I told her whatever that included to do I’d pay for it. She proceeded to fill my nails and put painted French tips on me with every old layer of fill showing through the clear coat. I told her that I didn’t like it and her and the nail artist beside her told me that I had scheduled a fill so that’s what I got.I then had her just paint them white because it looked absolutely horrible. She then sealed the white coat and FILED the seal off the end of my nails and within a couple days the gel nail polish is peeling off of my nails.

Had a pedicure here - the nail tech trimmed my cuticles and then continued to cut at the already cut skin. I let her know multiple times she was hurting me and she continued anyway until another staff member finally took notice and told her to stop. I paid extra for the gel polish and the next day it was chipped. A week later, and the full layer of polish is gone from a few toes. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend getting a pedicure here.
